9th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)AVOID! both as a tenant and as a landlord. I'm a tenant in a property under their portfolio, I'm facing severe lack of communication and total lack of integrity. I'm in the unfortunate situation of desperately needing to move out early due to personal health reasons. I can't move out until Maskells finds a replacement tenant. Their approach has been to try and profit from the situation, which I personally find morally wrong. Rather than trying to replace me, they are putting an out of the market price to try and squeeze extra pounds of commission without any risk, as the property is not vacant. Communication related to the process has also been lacking and not transparent. Tenants: you are better off with some other agencies. Landlords: find someone with integrity to manage your properties.

Izzie very quickly understood our brief and was helpful and accommodating in arranging viewings to suit our schedules. Izzie was always polite and punctual throughout our dealings with her and definitely inspired confidence that she was committed to helping us find our next home!

Josh has so much experience and was always available to respond to any queries we had quickly and efficiently when my son recently purchased a flat with his support. Communication throughout the whole process was excellent both with us and our solicitor. Highly recommend them!
18th Mar 2026 (17 days ago)This review specifically concerns Rubel at Benham & Reeves, and the way he handled our tenancy. Our experience with Rubel suggests a troubling pattern: everything appears smooth until you raise legitimate concerns. The moment issues are pointed out, whether about maintenance, communication, or property readiness, his tone shifted noticeably. Tenants who ask reasonable questions or expect basic standards should not feel that doing so will negatively affect how they are represented by Rubel to landlords or other parties. Professional agents separate personal frustration from factual representation. In our experience, Rubel did not consistently demonstrate that separation. If a tenant raises concerns about management standards, that should not result in them being portrayed unfavourably. We would strongly advise landlords to carefully review how Rubel is managing their properties and how tenant relationships are being communicated on their behalf. This is not a reflection on every individual at Benham & Reeves, but it is a serious concern regarding Rubel’s professionalism and approach.

7th Jan 2026 (12 weeks ago)Absolutely heartbroken by our experience with David! After being accepted for a property and paying the holding deposit, we were excited and preparing to move in, only to be told last minute that the landlord had changed their mind. No empathy. What makes it worse? They cited my field of work and my partner's age(22) as the reason something they were fully aware of from the start. It felt discriminatory, dishonest, and deeply unprofessional. My partner was left in tears, and we were devastated. Thankfully, we ended up finding a much better home a beautiful place with a garden by the river in Hammersmith. But the emotional damage from this experience still lingers. Edit: In the response he is still implying I have am renting properties for running a business, which is not the case this is a consiperacy they are making up. I made it clear that although I run an Airbnb business I was going to rent this place as a personal home. He is calling us liars to our face this is unbelievably disrespectful. I've always been honest and never lied and won't let a letting agent call me a liar!

27th Mar 2026 (8 days ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

The advice they gave was very honest and direct which I found very refreshing compared to previous experiences with other agents. I would highly recommend Loporto Browne!
