27th Apr 2026 (26 days ago)I’d give 0 stars if I could, the staff are absolutely disgusting. Took over a month to get our deposit back and they are thieves the lot of them. Katie Edmond’s is the worst one with dealt with, wouldn’t reply for days when we had a question and even when she did end up replying she wouldn’t state all the facts. The only good worker there Tommy left. We were robbed of a good experience and if anyone ever is looking to private rent do NOT go with reed residental. £140 back from a £1000 deposit! When we moved in the place was awful but we had no money and needed a place to stay, we got told the fridge, washing machine and oven was a “gift” that “gift” was really just old tat that they didn’t want to have to pay to get rid of but we had to pay for all it to go because none of it worked. Don’t understand how the company is still allowed to be running but I definitely would not recommend to anyone moving into a property to use reed!!

5th May 2026 (18 days ago)I would never work with this team as someone looking for a home. Last week I contacted them on Wednesday, asking to view 6 different properties. The lady on the phone didn’t really seem like she had the time of day for me, from the get-go. Nonetheless, she asks me this laundry list of questions and tells me someone will get back to me after lunch. After lunch, no contact. Okay, I thought. So I phone them back on Thursday and there is ‘no trace’ of my request for bookings and the new woman on the phone is speaking to me like a schizophrenic. It’s getting weird. This new woman tells me the same thing, she will phone back and get the viewings locked in. Nothing. I then phone for the final time today - worst case scenario - they have no idea who I am. Okay, forget it, hang up. Don’t deal with them.

9th May 2026 (14 days ago)Dixons managed the sale of our flat and were brilliant throughout the whole process. Becky, Amy, and Claire helped us with any question we had and went above and beyond to support us, even regarding our purchase which was through another agent. Dixons are one of the more expensive options, but in comparison to our experience of other local agencies, they are worth every penny.- 6th May 2026 (17 days ago)We have just completed a sale and purchase of properties with Dixons and can highly recommend them. 13th May 2026 (10 days ago)I currently rent a home property through G&T and wanted to say that Molly Gregg at the DY5 office has been so helpful and kind. I contacted the office as I needed a supporting letter, Molly sorted this out immediately for me, she was super quick to make changes and helped me make sure I had the correct information. In general, G&T have been helpful and supportive. They allow us to have the house inspections on days that work for us, they were very patient and kind when we had a death in the household and are always quick to respond when requesting information. Thank you so much for your help!
10th May 2026 (13 days ago)We were supported by Kashni from MECS to rent our first property together and we were really impressed with her communication. She’s so welcoming and really quick at responding which made the process a lot easier. We had some queries around how the process was impacted by the new Renters Rights and she helped us to understand and amend this, even on her day off. The online form / application process was easy and straightforward to understand too ??????
9th May 2026 (14 days ago)As a Stirchley local of 9 year I popped in to enquire about a property for my partner that was for let in the window along many others which where available,upon walking in i was told nothing was in fact available and that all the posters where wrong and that they could not take my details for the future as it was for my partner,(bare in mind i stated that she and i would be attending the viewings and she would also be able to come in to meet the required individual) and i was treated with nothing but hostility and sarcasm from the owner mike oakton himself who stated that 'thats why i havent found anything yet becuase im a stand in for finding and booking a property to view', at which point him and he's colleague laughed at me, absolute distgusting and patronising behaviour especially when your genuinly looking for help! Will not be using again and i do not recomend, they spoke to me with nothing but a condescending tone! AVOID AVOID AVOID! Would give zero stars if that was an option.... i genuinly dont want to use the race card but thats how they have singled me out and made me feel , which is a shame with myself being a local to stirchley... never ever again, if thats the owner treating me like that i never want to meet his staff! My partner not being present surely does not impede our options of booking a property for us to view at a future date, as the past few weeks this has not been an issue with any other landlord or estate agent...Madness to treat people of your comminuty like this, such a shame when you feel a sense of belonging only to be treated in such a belittling way!!!

They always kept me up to date so I knew what was going on at every step of the way, I would happily recommend and use them again

18th May 2026 (5 days ago)I had a very positive experience with the Oakmans Harborne Branch during the attempted sale of my flat. Although the sale didn’t complete for reasons outside their control, the service from the whole team was very positive. Under Alex’s leadership, the team is proactive, well?coordinated, and genuinely easy to communicate with. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and approachable. Tom valued the property and got it on the market quickly. Sophie was always warm and helpful in every interaction. Paul handled viewings efficiently and secured an offer fast. Sue worked incredibly hard with all parties to try to bring the sale to completion. Even though the sale fell through, I’m genuinely grateful for the team’s effort. I would happily recommend Oakmans Harborne team to others.
