Henley Charles Estate Agents - Handsworth
306 Rookery Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, B21 9QG
(187 reviews)
6th Oct 2026 (24 days ago)Overall I was satisfied with the service as Henley Charles sold my property relatively quickly. I was less impressed with the initial valuation which I felt was inflated. The property eventually sold for £30k less than the valuation they provided. Communication on the whole was good when I could get through to them but there were times when the phone just rang out. I feel a dedicated receptionist would be helpful to alleviate these issues. The team members were all personable and knowledgeable. I would recommend Henley Charles to others as their fees are reasonable and the after sales process was very good indeed.

11th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)Worst estate agents ever, I tried to rent a house and filled tons of documents. Though they did'nt even call me back for the results and when I call them to learn about it they were pretty rude. Far from being professional dont bother going there.
21st Oct 2026 (9 days ago)Thank you to all the Staff at Paul Carr for Assisting Me with the Sale of my Property.
The staff were professional and explained step by step the process.
30th Sep 2026 (30 days ago)We contacted this agency about a property around two weeks ago. They asked us for a lot of personal and financial information in order to arrange a viewing. We provided everything they requested, but unfortunately, nobody came back to us.
I also tried contacting them a couple of times afterwards, but there was no answer and no one returned our calls. The communication has been very poor, and the whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
We expected a more professional and reliable service. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this agency.
30th Sep 2026 (30 days ago)This is the first estate agent I have ever rented with that I would actively and enthusiastically recommend to other people. At every stage the team have been both professional and personable. Over the 3 years I rented my flat, I found myself pleasantly surprised many a time by handling situations with care for myself and my partner as well as their responsibilities in managing the flat on behalf of our late landlord.
I feel like it shouldn't be so rare to find such a genuinely excellent all-round agency like this. Regardless, I can promise you this unicorn is real!
Many thanks to Charlotte who handled our end of tenancy inspection expertly and with a couple shared laughs.Connells - Birmingham City

26th Oct 2026 (4 days ago)Friendly and very good communication throughout our sale
4th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)Very helpful and easy process with purchasing a house. The Boldmere team have been fantastic when I had some personal issues and difficulties surrounding it all, and I was able to resolve these with their help.
26th Oct 2026 (4 days ago)I have been very impressed with service provided by Hicks Hadley.
Clair and Charlotte were efficient and helpful from the beginning in the prompt way they responded to my queries and the professional way they dealt with the sale.
I certainly recommended Hicks Hadley.

William.
17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Salma the sales lead was absolutely brilliant. She went above the call to help, totally professional and was on the button all the time. All the staff are brilliant but she went above expectations. A massive thank you for finding and closing a sale.
20th Oct 2026 (10 days ago)Dear all, Please feel free to use this as feedback as requested below, "The journey has ended, thank you for your help, assistance and perseverance along the way with selling our parents' house to completion, on time and to our expectations, they were there for 43 years. We felt your team always responded to our needs in a friendly and professional manner" all the best and kind regards, Mr Ashley & Mrs Greaves
9th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience with James Laurence. I took time off work for a viewing, submitted all the requested documents within 30 minutes afterwards, at the asking price without even negotiating, and clearly explained that I needed to secure a place urgently.

Despite this, I was later told the property had already been let agreed. This happened to me repeatedly, wasting my time and even my annual leave. My credit history and background are good, and I had no issues with the checks.

They clearly do not value prospective tenants’ time. If you want a smooth and professional experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Very poor service.
14th Oct 2026 (16 days ago)Prompts response and good communication
25th Oct 2026 (5 days ago)I thought I should update my initial review based on my experience.

Objectively, the property management team has been quite disappointing in terms of communication. Several emails, including those sent during my tenancy, went unanswered. On one occasion, they promised to resolve an outstanding request within a specified timeframe but failed to do so. Repeated telephone calls also went unanswered.

Overall, my experience with their responsiveness and fulfilment of commitments has been far from satisfactory.
15th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)I was recently introduced to Zohaib, he was proactive in understanding my needs, listing the property and securing a very agreeable rate, acting with professionalism and good conduct throughout. Highly recommend.
15th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)Best Agents in Sutton Coldfield, 5 star service. Highly recommended
10th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)Avocado (Alistair and Liam) have been amazing throughout the whole process of selling my house and finding a new home. Their marketing is brilliant, local knowledge and experience invaluable and handling of viewings and potential buyers, second to none. Their advice has been spot on and their energy and responsive unwavering They have been all round brilliant and I would never use another agent again. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of moving home
18th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)Alex was brilliant throughout. We sold both our properties with him and he was friendly and progressional from the off, throughout both sales he really went the extra mile, always only a message away, would chase various solicitors when asked and progress always seemed to be made when Alex chased. He was excellent and we would recommend him to anyone.
8th Jul 2024 (2 years ago)top team special thanks to Sophie Willis !!!
19th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)A very smooth experience dealing with OPA. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently, and we were kept informed as things progressed. The team were approachable, knowledgeable and always willing to help. I would have no hesitation recommending them.
11th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)Tom was a really nice guy. His team booking in viewings were really poor. They would book in viewings without even liaising with us which meant bookings got cancelled and prospective buyers annoyed and frustrated. Removed from market with Oakmans due to the amount of viewings we have was very small. Never received feedback after viewings.
13th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)Rude They changed my property price daily without my permission. They lower price to less than what i pay for it, Then they put the price 10 times higher than what I pay for it. This is bulling tactic
