9th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I'm not sure why my review was removed, as this was a genuine experience that I unfortunately had to deal with. I'm reposting it to help other people avoid this business. "Booked two viewings for a rental property through Hilton and Horsfall, both times they did not turn up and failed to inform me of the cancellation. I had literally days before I was moving out of my current property, which was sold. They left me in such a stressful predicament, almost causing me to be homeless. Avoid at all cost."

26th May 2026 (24 days ago)I’ve just had one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had with an estate agent after enquiring about a rental property through Mortimers in Clitheroe. I received a call to go through some pre-qualifying questions and was asked whether I had any adverse credit history. I answered honestly and explained my circumstances. The response I got was incredibly rude and dismissive — I was immediately informed that I would fail referencing and that I can’t even apply for any of their properties. I explained that I am now debt free, earn more than enough to comfortably afford the rent, have an excellent rental history, can provide references, and even have a guarantor available if required. None of that mattered. I was flat-out refused before even being allowed to view or formally apply for the property in question. What makes this even more frustrating is being told they would consider applicants currently in debt, but not someone who has had debt written off and has since rebuilt their finances responsibly. That logic makes absolutely no sense. The overall tone of the conversation was extremely judgemental and degrading. I was spoken to as though I was beneath consideration from the moment I answered honestly. There was absolutely no empathy, professionalism or willingness to discuss options. I appreciate landlords and agents need criteria but that is extreme and circumstances should be judged individually. There’s a way to speak to people respectfully — and this was not it.

7th Jun 2026 (12 days ago)Terrible service received by my daughter. She made an appointment to view a house, she waited, knocked on the door and no one was there. She the callled to be advised the lady should be there. She waited for quite some time then had to return to work. They have still not called to apologise or explain. This is shocking customer service. I would not sell or buy a house from this company
29th May 2026 (21 days ago)I don't write reviews very often but when someone has gone over and above to give the very best possible service in a difficult situation, they have to be recognized for their fantastic service and spot on communication. For the personal touch, peace of mind and confidence I would highly recommend Nik Davey at Martin & co to look after your letting properties. Thank you team Martin & co from a very happy landlord with happy tenants.

31st May 2026 (19 days ago)Don’t ever use dewhurst homes and avoid at all costs A property that we loved recently went up for sale We agreed a visit When we got to the visit the person showing us around had no clue on the property, the onward chain and couldn’t answer basic of questions, not there fault at all. More on the company sending her out when she specialises in rentals, we then put a bid forward and told it was rejected. We then proceeded to put a second offer in, they called us and said our first offer rejected no word on the second offer, we told them the second offer and was told oh this would be rejected and basically laughed down the phone. Third offer sent and same again told it wouldn’t be accepted, we then went above asking price and was told by Dewhurst homes the seller had accepted much higher but not responding so our offer is accepted, we agreed a mortgage and conveyancer and now been told sorry we’ve gone back to original person as been back in touch. Please avoid and take care if having any dealings with these rats

There were a couple of teething snags however Nicola remained calm and steered my application through and got me into the perfect flat where i can begin my new life with my daughter. The team at Keenan’s have been incredibly helpful especially Phillipa Nichols who went out of her way to assist me with the ‘big move in’ and she is also very kind with a good sense of humour which made it very easy. I couldn’t be happier and I took forward to the continued tenancy with them. Awesome team - Kate xx

9th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)We had the best experience with Wainwright's from start to finish. I would highly recommend this estate agents. Although when I looked at cost, it was slightly more, the service we received far outweighed the money we paid. We changed to Wainwright's after using another estate agents and I don't regret it. Within a few weeks they had sold our house and the service was impeccable. Every member of staff was dedicated to selling our house. Don't hesitate to use Wainwright's estate agents. Thank you everyone at Wainwright's ??????

They worked hard to keep things moving and keep us updated throughout. Moving house can be stressful so it's important to be in good hands and we certainly felt like we were. Thanks to Leanne, Harry and the wider team for helping us to secure our dream home!

Selling a house can be stressful, but they made the whole experience so much easier from start to finish. From the day my property went on the market to completion, the entire process took just 8 weeks, which exceeded my expectations. 30th May 2026 (20 days ago)Property sold after 3 days of listing and completion took place around 1 month later. Can't complain - Divan & Jack were amazing and kept me reassured the whole time. I'll be bringing Let Property another one of my on the next tax year. Highly recomended.
7th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)The property I am renting has a leaking kitchen ceiling and a boiler that drops pressure at least a couple of times a week. I reported the issues for repairs months ago but I am still waiting for a response and a fix. Feels like poor customer service to me.

This proved to be excellent advice! Their sales process was concise & explained thoroughly. The photography & video presentation was first class illustrating my apartment via a virtual tour round the building that was very impressive. Through out the process, Dawn liaised with both my solicitor & the buyer, keeping me informed every step of the way on progress. Yesterday, my sale completed, so many thanks Dawn for all your support. X
