30th Jan 2026 (20 weeks ago)As a first-time buyer, I trusted this estate agency to provide accurate and reliable information when viewing and proceeding with a property purchase. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. When I was shown the property, I was told three key points that significantly influenced my decision to proceed: • That the flat had an allocated parking space • That the leasehold was 999 years • That residents contributed to a joint building insurance policy After several months of progressing the purchase and paying substantial solicitor fees, it became apparent that all three of these statements were incorrect. There was no allocated parking for the flat, the lease was under 150 years rather than 999, and there was no existing joint building insurance policy. Each time I raised these issues with the estate agent, I was simply told that the information had been provided incorrectly by the seller and that they apologised. While mistakes can happen, these are material facts that should have been verified before being presented to a buyer, particularly as they directly affect a purchaser’s decision-making. The process was stressful, costly, and ultimately ruined my trust in the agency. Buying your first home should be an exciting experience, but being misled on multiple fundamental aspects of the property made it extremely disheartening. I would strongly advise future buyers to ensure all key details are confirmed in writing and verified early in the process.

She clearly knew the market and the area to give us the best guidance to put in a successful offer on our new home. The building site was very restricted for additional viewings, but Emma was very cooperative for us to gain access, and for trades to arrange dates with her to measure up. Invaluable for us to have a successful and easy move. 24th Mar 2026 (13 weeks ago)We can highly recommend Fine and Country Bishops Stortford. Our first initial contact was with Paula who was extremely professional and knowledgeable. She put us at ease and we felt confident that our sale was in the right hands. Debbie was OUTSTANDING. In what became a complex, difficult sale, she worked tirelessly to resolve all the issues that emerged. She initially introduced our buyers, who had seen our property but weren’t sold on the garden size. She encouraged them to take a look and they fell in love with it. Her communication skills are excellent and she kept us informed every step of the way. I really think that without her relentless input we may have thrown in the towel. The last few days were very stressful with mortgage offers expiring, vendors going back on original agreements and short windows of time, however, Debbie came through for us, even whilst she was ill. Thankyou so much for your effort and hardwork!!!

Andy would always be available even out of hours. Would highly recommend this estate, they kept me positive about selling my property as they really understand the local market. They are independent, not part of a corporate chain and you really get a personal service. Five star service. Thank you guys
