Matthew, Dan and the rest of the team at Barnard Marcus have been so unbelievably helpful in the sale of my flat. As a first time seller I needed some help in overcoming some of the challenges and at every point the Barnard Marcus team were there to offer support and reassurance about what was happening. They helped remove a lot of worry and stress and showed that they cared about the service they were providing. Thanks to everyone at Barnard Marcus south Croydon.
Disgusting service! So disappointed. Don't waste your time. No communication. What a terrible branch. Who gives such people jobs? I'm disgusted at their customer service. Please save your time and money and deal with another agent.
Strongly recommended. All the staff were very helpful and supportive in moving the sale of my elderly father’s property through to completion, quickly finding a suitable buyer. A personal service; they were there for him when he needed help. They picked up that a booking of a removal firm had not been successfully confirmed so enabling a substitute to be secured in time.
I had the unfortunate pleasure of having to deal with what I can only call glorified key holders and even that's a lie as when giving the agent 1 weeks’ notice to view a property for the second time I received a call on the morning of the visit to be told they didn’t have any keys.
I could write more but the simple statement I've already made tells you enough about this agent.
Faye has a great attitude to the needs of the customer and if it wasn’t for her we would not have a superb flat. Diane was extremely focused on getting the job done and we thank them both together with Michelle for the great service.
Do NOT use these agents!! They lack integrity, professionalism, communication and managerial skills, the list goes on. I lodged a complaint with these amateurs and it hasn't been resolved to my liking, and believe me, I had grounds for complaining.
They don't return calls, their emails are flooded with grammatical errors, they can't pass a message on to their employees. You really have to chase them up. Their mission statement reads, "“To be the most professional, caring and expert estate agent our clients, our community and the public come into contact with, whilst still ensuring that our commitment to staff training and innovation remains second to none enabling every client to have a smooth and stress free move.” What a load of flannel! Some clients may have had a better experience with Streets Ahead, but mine has been a complete nightmare.
The Lettings managers, George Potter and Daniel Woods both refuse to respond to my calls. Highly unprofessional and cowardly. A severe lack of attention to detail is plenty evident in their correspondence. Just an utter shambles if I'm very honest.
For those who have had a positive experience, count yourselves lucky because as far as I'm concerned these guys are complete cowboys. Unethical, unfair and unprofessional
I have used Bairstow Eves to sell a couple of properties recently and Michael and his team provided me with truly exceptional service. They provided invaluable advice and kept me informed of their activity and progress on a regular basis from start to finish. I was very happy with the interest they generated and was impressed by the speed in which sales were agreed. I truly feel that they worked hard to achieve the best price for my properties. As a property developer I have dealt with countless estate agents in the area and when selling in the Croydon area I would not hesitate to use Bairstow Eves again and would recommend Michael and his team to other sellers and buyers.
Be careful. As a tenant, they might do anything for you to sign. Don't trust their word. They'll always find a little asterisk in their contract to fool you
I was quite reluctant to use this Company to sell my property as I had heard bad things about them in the past. However! I had a property valued by them, Kerry came out she did not give me the Estate Agent bull. She was professional, firm and straight talking and I liked her immediately. She told me exactly what she thought she could get for the property, how the markets were doing at that time along with advising me to have an open day as it was a rental property and it would have been hassle arranging viewings through me and a tenant. They had 2 offers by the end of the day!! Following that I had so much confidence in Kerry and her team that I used them to sell my house. Again! Kerry told me what she thought she could get. This time however, it was a larger property and Kerry was extremely professional with both myself and the people that she showed round. I had an offer for the exact amount I was asking for which completely overwhelmed me.
Thank you to all of you at the Sanderstead Branch. It was a completely enjoyable stress free experience.
I am not usually a reviewer but we want to thank the whole Croydon / Purley / Sanderstead team and James and Michael for selling our house (after a difficult first attempt), and saving our onward purchase of our dream home. Yes, both were consummate professionals, obviously well-trained through Bairstow Eve’s training programme, used their network of offices to maximise our exposure, showed they were well-informed about the market (both local, and national trends), arrived early for viewings, looked smart, and gave prompt and helpful feedback. But I have realized that being a really good estate agent is about so much more than finding a buyer. To actually achieve the sale, Bairstow Eves actively managed and communicated up and down the chain with agents and solicitors to keep all parties on the same page; guided nervous first time buyers; and were available whenever we needed them for counselling, advice, reassurance, problem-solving, diplomacy, negotiation, and calmness – and that is just what I can think of at the moment. Most people don’t buy and sell many houses in a lifetime – Bairstow Eves got us (and our buyers!) there! I have already recommended them!
