The whole team at Pollard Machin have been fantastic in helping us both sell our flat and purchase our house. Andy and Chris have a real in depth knowledge of the local area and were always polite, professional and personable. Compared to other estate agents with whom we had a not so pleasant experience, Ann from Pollard Machin was always available to help and advise when needed. If you are looking for a local and expert estate agent, look no further!
Funny how social media works as there were no reviews on here until a 1 star one was posted. Then as if by magic only 5 star reviews started appearing…..
My first property buying experience was fantastic with Streets Ahead. From day one Kai Seale really listened to what I wanted in a property (and was extremely patient as my budget and spec changed quite dramatically during the search)
Kai provided fantastic advice and information which was invaluable as a first time buyer. Post successful offer Kai continued to be on hand anytime I had a question (which was often) he always answered in a polite and immediate manner I never felt once he was too busy this was particularly appreciated as he had already made a sale and could have turned his focus to new buyers
Re streets ahead the information provided during my property search was clear and representative which meant the properties I was viewing met my expectations. I would definitely recommend both streets ahead and Kai Seale for your property search
Do NOT use these agents!! They lack integrity, professionalism, communication and managerial skills, the list goes on. I lodged a complaint with these amateurs and it hasn't been resolved to my liking, and believe me, I had grounds for complaining.
They don't return calls, their emails are flooded with grammatical errors, they can't pass a message on to their employees. You really have to chase them up. Their mission statement reads, "“To be the most professional, caring and expert estate agent our clients, our community and the public come into contact with, whilst still ensuring that our commitment to staff training and innovation remains second to none enabling every client to have a smooth and stress free move.” What a load of flannel! Some clients may have had a better experience with Streets Ahead, but mine has been a complete nightmare.
The Lettings managers, George Potter and Daniel Woods both refuse to respond to my calls. Highly unprofessional and cowardly. A severe lack of attention to detail is plenty evident in their correspondence. Just an utter shambles if I'm very honest.
For those who have had a positive experience, count yourselves lucky because as far as I'm concerned these guys are complete cowboys. Unethical, unfair and unprofessional
Alison and Nicki who run this branch have been as determined and as professional as anyone can ask.... I've recently sold my fathers property with his power of attorney and they could not have done more to help us and him who were now some distance away.... many many thanks and sincerest best wishes for the future :) :)
Chole is the best sales I have ever met, she is proactive, considerate, professional, very very helpful during our purchase process. She helps us to chase all related parties, solicitors, brokers etc. 5 star!
Amazing service received from James Anson and Gary. We travelled from Middlesex to Purley for all our appointments and we would do it all over again, we were shown a selection of houses that suited our needs James really took time to know his customers well and any query we had was dealt with in such an efficient manner whether it was with regards to the house we had put in an offer ofr or the mortgage. Would definitely recommend.
Just recently let a property through Bairstow Eves. Ignas was the letting agent. I fond him an excellent negotiator. He secured a discount on fess and on the monthly rent of the property for me. Ignas was very professional throughout our dealings and a credit to this agent.
Only experience I had that could have being better is being told there was issue with my wife's visa and then it was ok again. This caused my family huge stress at the last minute. This should have being advised earlier in the letting process and should have being researched properly. With that said things happen and bairstow eves resolved this quickly and efficently and am very happy now.
We used them for finding tenants and for sale of flat.
Just spoke over the phone with an extremely rude man. I was enquiring about a property for sale in stoats nest Road Coulsdon. From the start the estate agent talked over me and at me. He did everything he could to be unhelpful and put me off. This is before I had a chance to speak. In the end I told him that he had done everything to put me off and I was sorry for wasting his time. He said "you have indeed!"
I have recently sold a property with Foxtons (Simon D) and found them/him to be very professional and knowledgable about Croydon and the property market in general. The advice I have received has been most helpful.
Although I missed out on taking advantage of the 0% offer which was the reason for going with Foxtons rather than another estate agent with cheaper fees in the first place, they sold our property after a slow start for a reasonable price I believe.
Simon in particular was very good at keeping me informed of progress/issues and called me back promptly if I called him. He often made himself available to meet with me to discuss any issues or to give me an update on progress. We kept in touch via different means email, phone and text depending on what was best for the situation or the urgency of the issue.
So far, I have been pleased with my decision to go with Foxtons Croydon.
Really bad organization. Unreliable and bad communication. Although they pretend to be the best is not real. They charge more then other competitors..
