Extremely responsive and helpful communication from Georgina, who listened to all our requirements, and organised an extremely efficient day of viewing. She was very quick to respond to all our queries, and make the process as smooth as possible. We were also very impressed and reassured by financial advice from Adam. Clear, friendly and helpful advice that left us feeling secure and well-prepared for the future. Very impressed to have this service from an estate agent.

Mine and my housemate's experience with Lauristons Wimbledon could not have been more disappointing. We contacted the agency to view a couple of properties and we were shown around by Georgina, who was lovely and very helpful, even when we wanted to view a property a second time. We decided to go for it and sign a contract, which contained some requests by us, and were agreed by the landlord. All the transactions and negotiation were done via the agency, we never contacted the landlord himself as we were never given his contact information and we were reassured by the agent that they would deal with everything for us. Some of our requests included replacing broken cupboards and drawers in the kitchen, fixing a fence in the back garden, and removal of some items of furniture that we did not want and for which we did not have the space. To our surprise, upon arriving at the flat for our moving in, that these requests had not been met. In addition, the property manager to whom we were assigned (Talibah) is the most unprofessional person we have ever dealt with. Even though we had confirmation from 2 people within the agency that the furniture was going to be removed and the repairs were in our contractual demands, their response was that the landlord did not want the items removed and there was no time to do the repairs before we moved in. After our insisting, we were told a different version of the story in which there was a delay in clearing funds from the landlord as we was abroad and had sent a check. We were never informed of the non-conclusion of the repairs prior to our moving in. There was never any kind of intention to review the emails that had been exchanged between us and the agency to investigate who was wronged and where. I have sent several emails to the admin team and they only have a one-note reply: "the landlord does not want these items to be removed". I feel like we were lied to in order to sign a contract, and now that we are tied up for 2 years they can say whatever they want. Long story short, it's been almost 4 months that we've been living in the flat and these requests are still pending. The kitchen cupboards have not been replaced yet and we still have some of our things in boxes. The fence in the back garden was boarded up by the neighbour from their side. The flat has been serving as a storage unit for the landlord's furniture. Don't make the same mistake as we did and go somewhere else.

As I am looking to rent my first property I can honestly say Jacksons have been so supportive with all my issues and worries from start to finish, I must say I am very pleased with the customer service here, prompt and efficient email responses, also I must highlight a certain individual Jenelle. I must say I do lack in knowledge as I am a first time renter, she didnt speak in business jargon or say anything that would confuse me, she spoke in a way which i can relate but always was very professional. Exceptionally poor rental management services. Ever since I moved into this property managed by Jacksons there have been problems. Jacksons attitude towards customers especially with regards health and safety is astounding, their organisation and ability to manage landlord relations is particularly poor. Nearly two months after moving in and I was still battling with the rental customer services to get basic things fixed, including getting locks on ground floor accessible windows. I warned Jacksons both the weakened front door and damage around it, plus the fact locks were either broken or entirely missing from ground floor windows was a major security risk and invalidated insurance. I don't feel my reports to them were taken in the slightest seriously. The first time it took about 3 days to get a lock on the window but nothing was done about the weak front door. Just before new year the flat was broken into and a number of items stolen. I requested a meeting with more senior managers and during their visit we discovered locks were entirely missing from the bathroom window and a little time later another lock missing from the bedroom window. None of this should have been the case as I specifically requested locks be put on all windows in my offer to rent the flat. I have now suffered losses and was unable to take out insurance due to the lack of locks on windows. Jacksons ineffectiveness have led to me losing around £2000 worth of possessions. Jacksons did not take due care to ensure the work had been done, do not follow up with you on issues you raise with them you have to constantly chase them. After I requested locks the last two times it took around 10 days for someone to install them only after I'd chased on a number of occasions to find out what was going on. This as an indicator of the poor landlord relationship management: my bathroom was only just redecorated towards the beginning of February despite this being in the offer letter to rent the property going back to September last year (I was told this would be completed before i moved in, then just before I moved it I was told it would be during the first week of renting at the end of October!!). Security lights around the building are still not working and yet again I am having to chase Jacksons again!! Jacksons attitude and approach to managing situations regarding tenants health and safety is shocking. Not only had we got to deal with the shock and trauma of having our homes broken into, but also dealing with staff at an agency that are effectively ignoring us after the fact. I will never buy or rent from Jacksons ever again. Avoid if you value your possessions and health and safety!

Hyde and Rowe Limited

14 Selsdon Road

Used the services of Hyde&Rowe from Jan 10 to 1st April due to a renovation planned at our house in East Croydon. Their agent Sarah Somers was of great help. We hadn't planned the entire stay and kept of extending. I always dealt with Sarah who was prompt in her replies, always available and who managed to get us great deals. We stayed at 3 properties, all within short distances of our house, and they stay was very comfortable. Thank you Sarah for your help! You were always available on the phone for us.

Also would like to say they are always on hand to give me advice and guidance even though I didn’t pay for that service! Highly recommend them and will be using them again.

Tee Misdemeanor

I can't see what service they give to justify such enormously high fees, they even charge for giving your deposit back, which is fundamentally just a sneaky way of keeping part of it. As a tenant I wouldn't rent through them again, there is no reason to pay them over £500 for the privilege of renting a house. No doubt they also charge the landlord a lot, so they're milking people at both ends.
