Simply Incompetent , they never update you.
We were in the process of buying a property from them and we actually had to do their job to make it happened. It has been a nightmare dealing with them. They have no clue of what is going on, after waiting 3 weeks to have some update, we phoned them and the answer we got was "I have emailed the seller once 3 weeks ago but he did not reply so I will call them sometime this week". We knew more about the property and the buying process than them.
They don't even know what is going on the market.
Example: Stamp Duty is a big issue at the moment for banks as it double every 25 years for some properties. More than 300 000 people have this issue in the UK. When we told them if they knew about it, they replied "No, I never heard this. Stamp Duty is not a problem at all to get a mortgage".
Didn't know anything about the property (on a second viewing)
One more thing, we had a second viewing after making an offer and we had couple of questions such as "is it double glazed?""is it under floor heating?" and "is it 24h concierge service? " and the answers were .... "I don't know." or "I am not sure".
Also, the agent who was supposed to meet us in front of the property, was hiding herself in the entrance, under the stairs.. and she was looking at us waiting for her in the street but did not bother coming and say hi.
