17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

20th May 2026 (11 weeks ago)Clarke Gammon provided exceptional service - always professional, excellent communications and were a calming influence over a process that is traditionally fraught with nothing but stress and frustration. I feel they went above and beyond at every step to ensure we were reassured and communicated with from start to finish. At each point in the process and with any member of staff we spoke to, we got the same level of service and knew that everyone was fully briefed on our situation, meaning we could speak to anyone and they would be able to answer our questions, rather than waiting for our contact to be back. Something particularly helpful when you need answers quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Clarke Gammon to anyone looking to sell or buy, they made the process almost enjoyable!

We were especially impressed with their clear roles of working for the vendors not the buyers. Having sold our house in the past, we know that isn’t always the case. 31st Oct 2020 (5 years ago)In two words, VERY DISAPPOINTING. All talk and false promises, and little or no positive action to do what they are paid to do, which is to actually sell your Property. After 21 weeks they 'managed' to generate Three viewings, One 'no show' and Two vague expressions of interest. Their Customer Service is absymal. Phone Calls and emails expressing concern not answered or responded to. Do not bother to waste your time with this Estate Agent. There are other's who are more pro-active, undertake much better Marketing, and frankly do a far better job.

1st Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)Mark went above and beyond to help us sell our property with the Haslemere branch of Henry Adams. Very pleased and grateful to the care, he and the team showed with the dealing of this sale. He saw the potential, worked out the correct market, and was straight talking about everything. Clear and brilliant communication meant we were up to date about all parts of the process, and everything went quickly and smoothly as these things can.
16th Jul 2026 (19 days ago)We have dealt with Williams for a number of years, mostly with finding new tenants. They have always given and continue to give, exceptional service from the very start until a new tenant is in place. We are kept informed every step of the way and any queries are answered quickly. Caroline and Tracey always return a call and are very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Good customer service is hard to find but they continue to build their business around this.
16th May 2026 (11 weeks ago)Absolutely appalling service. Catherine, who was supposed to show us around the property we had arranged to see was short and rude from the moment we met her. She refused to answer any questions we had about the property, didn’t seem at all interested in actually displaying the property to us and spoke horribly to us during the brief time we had with her. Avoid this agency at all costs if this is the standard they hold themselves to. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with an estate agency.

1st Dec 2025 (8 mo. ago)Credit where it's due. Despite a slow market, Serena never gave up helping us try to find somewhere, even when I was calling 3 times a day. There's a reason why most homes in this area are sold through Seymour's.
2nd Jun 2026 (9 weeks ago)10/10 – I would recommend Bourne in Godalming without hesitation. We initially had our house on the market with another agent who unfortunately wasn’t able to sell it. After switching, the difference was night and day. From the outset, the team (Adrian, Jim, Tilly) were proactive, communicative, and genuinely invested in getting the best outcome for us. They kept us updated throughout, were always available to answer questions, and worked incredibly hard to keep things moving. Selling and buying a house can be stressful, but their professionalism, persistence, and support made a huge difference. We’re delighted with the result and very grateful for all their help. If you’re looking for an estate agent who is responsive, proactive, and goes above and beyond, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

15th Jul 2026 (20 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.<br><br>We instructed White & Brooks to sell our home and, over a 20-week sole agency period, we had just four viewings and not a single offer. Throughout the process, I felt there was a real lack of proactive strategy. The weekly update calls often felt like they were made simply because they had to be (if they were made at all), rather than providing any meaningful feedback or a clear plan to improve interest.<br><br>My biggest frustration was the lack of leadership. As estate agents, I expected them to advise us, adapt the marketing strategy when things clearly weren't working and take ownership of generating interest. Instead, it felt like we were left waiting for something to happen.<br><br>To make matters worse, after our contract had ended I received a phone call regarding the return of our keys, and the member of staff I spoke to was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. It left a very poor final impression and confirmed that moving to another agent was the right decision.<br><br>Every property sale is different, and I appreciate that no agent can guarantee a buyer. However, I would expect good communication, proactive marketing and professionalism throughout the process. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience with White & Brooks, and I wouldn't choose to use them again.

Kate has been our point of contact from the outset, assisting us initially with understanding the local market conditions of which she has exceptional experience, advising on the best marketing strategy and ultimately achieving selling successfully within a relatively short period of time in what appear to be tricky market conditions. Kate has at all times been professional, communicating clearly on matters as they have arisen and she has been a joy to deal with too. From the initial contact we found GianFranco to be efficient, professional, proactive and thoroughly pleasant. He sold our property on the day of the first set of viewings and kept us informed all the way up to completion. I could not have scripted a more stress free experience myself. There should be a five star plus rating to do justice to excellence like GianFanco’s. Thank you on behalf of our family.

They kept us informed of suitable properties, accommodated our many viewing requests, and always took the time to get answers to our questions from the vendors.<br><br>James has gone above and beyond to help make our purchase go through as smoothly as possible. Despite the many challenges we encountered along the way, his dedication, persistence and excellent communication helped us get over the finish line.<br><br>It has been an absolute pleasure working with James and the whole team.
