15th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I would advise extreme caution to anyone buying a property through Roger Dean Estate Agents. My experience revealed a deeply concerning lack of professional integrity and fair dealing. During my attempted purchase, the agency instituted a strict "Best and Final Offer" process. However, immediately after I submitted my final bid, the agent (Grace Lees) contacted me to solicit an additional £10,000. When I refused, the agent admitted in the same phone call that she had already been instructed by the vendor to accept my original offer if I declined the increase. I escalated this conduct to The Property Ombudsman (TPO). Following a formal investigation, the Ombudsman’s written findings confirmed that these specific events and manipulative negotiation tactics occurred exactly as I described them. If you are a buyer dealing with this agency, be fully aware that their "deadlines" and "best and final" processes may be entirely manipulative tactics designed to extract more money from you under false pretenses. Proceed with caution.- 25th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Julie at Gascoigne Halman was fantastic throughout our house purchase. Buying a house can be incredibly stressful, especially with a long chain involved, but Julie was proactive, supportive, and always kept things moving. Her communication, persistence, and coordination made a huge difference and genuinely helped get the purchase over the line. The wider team were also professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. Thank you again to Julie and the team for all of your hard work. We really appreciate it and would highly recommend Gascoigne Halman.

When I asked questions about the property, I was told that they were questions for the office, which left us feeling unable to get the information we needed during the viewing. We had several viewings with other estate agents today, and they were warm, friendly, and greeted us with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, this was not our experience at this viewing. Both my husband and I felt that the atmosphere was unwelcoming, and we left feeling disappointed by the overall experience

From the moment we met Jen we knew that this would be the correct choice of estate agents to sell our house.<br><br>The whole team are extremely professional and very hard working; nothing is too much effort for them. The service provided was exemplary as well as very personal - by far the friendliest and most approachable estate agents that I have ever encountered.<br><br>It was so refreshing to work with a team who genuinely cared and if we were to sell again we would be in touch with Jen and her team in an instant.

23rd Feb 2026 (18 weeks ago)? 1 Star – Completely Unacceptable Living Conditions I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this company. For five years I repeatedly reported serious repair issues that were never properly resolved. During that time, my six-year-old child was forced to live in unacceptable and unsafe conditions. The property had broken internal doors, a constantly leaking bathroom, rusted and leaking radiators, and a kitchen full of damp and mould. The issues were ongoing and left unattended despite numerous complaints. What makes this worse is that instead of addressing the disrepair, their house cleaner was posting videos on Instagram showcasing the property — yet it was still in the same poor condition I had been left to live in for seven years. Nothing meaningful had been fixed. It felt like appearance mattered more than tenant welfare. No child should have to grow up in a home with persistent leaks, mould, and broken fixtures. The lack of urgency, care, and basic responsibility shown throughout my tenancy was beyond disappointing. I would not recommend renting through them.
