Whilst the general service was okay from an agent level, now that I’m awaiting the legitimate refund of holding deposit I’m simply being ghosted by senior management. The agent was kind enough to acknowledge and respond to emails initially with the promise that someone would be in contact. Zero response from the company management has been received almost 1 month later, despite numerous requests. They’ve simply left junior colleagues to respond with ambiguous statements. If they were challenging the repayment I would understand a response to that effect, it’s the lack of response that is most concerning.

We always had prompt emails back from Clare and lots of help and advice from Charley also. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, highly recommend Connells stony Stratford.

19th May 2025 (1 year ago)Thomas Connelly have been good trying to sell our house. They have been polite and courteous when reaching out, and they have tried different things to push the sale. I would have really liked more feedback and more of a push from there end to get creative in the sale space but I feel the experience overall is a positive one.

We were living abroad when selling and he kept an eye on the property for us to cover our insurance requirements and responded positively to other requests we made. He was very quick to respond to emails and follow up queries or chase solicitors for us. He helped us achieve the price we were looking for very quickly, and guided us through the process seamlessly. Fabulous service all round.

3rd Apr 2026 (12 weeks ago)We instructed Deacon White in Dunstable as we purchased the house through them a few years previously all your and was impressed with the way the transaction was handled. We mainly dealt with Eliot this time and can honestly say he went way over and above what a typical estate agent would do. The transaction had its ups and downs ( not Deacon Whites fault) and has finally gone through. Eliot was not only professional and curious he was available out of office hours to give reassurance when needed. When I got stressed and upset he was so calm. If you are unsure who to instruct or purchase give these guys a chance as it’s rare to find an estate agent who goes that extra mile. Sam end to end has been just the absolute best and a huge asset to a wonderful team! Quite honestly every member of the team I've spoken to throughout the process from viewing a property - right through to completion and beyond has just flown way above expectations. They are for sure the most personable, reliable and friendly estate agents I've ever had dealings with (and I've dealt with many over the years). I know who will always have our custom, and I will absolutely be recommending this incredible team to anyone who requires their services! Thanks team!
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

10th May 2022 (4 years ago)1st Choice a friendly family run business always maintained excellent communication which I really liked, if I had any problem weekday, weekend, or on a holiday, Kelly would reply back to my messages for support very quickly and same day. When I moved in to the property it was fully refurbished to an excellent standard. One time during winter I had a problem with my boiler with no heating for a few days. I made one call to 1st Choice and Mark dropped off some electric heaters, untill we got it fixed through Mear's. Anyone looking for property to rent then I would definatley recommend 1st Choice.

From the start of our journey, the communication has been consistently great. We had a group chat set up which made it really easy to keep in touch. It has felt like we are communicating with friends. The marketing of the property has also been top notch. Matthew and Adam have both been extremely knowledgeable and given us great guidance through this whole process and we are really thankful to both of them and the team at Lion Estates. We have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

17th Nov 2025 (7 mo. ago)They didn’t sell my house. I had to pull them off and go for a PTX as they began to give me anxiety. They didn’t keep me up to date and when it came to speaking to my PTX company they gave inaccurate information which affected my valuation. They seem like lovely people but I don’t think I will recommend them to anyone as there were just too many issues that I felt I didn’t have to deal with.
