29th Sep 2022 (1 year ago)I'd happily recommend Sharman Quinney to anyone looking for mortgage advisor. I used them to get a mortgage for purchasing my first house. Phil was extremely helpful and made the experience very easy. I had been left in the dark by another mortgage advisor which made the start of the already daunting experience even worse. Phil set me at ease, he made the effort to keep in contact and guide me through the whole process. He explained everything clearly and offered good advice wherever I was unsure. All while being a genuine and friendly guy who clearly cares about his client’s needs.

Having had experiences with others agents in the area safe to say that Middletons went above and beyond our expectations. Paul was very proffesional when valuing our property and managed expectations well. And Julie and the team are very efficient and fantastic with keeping you update step by step. Buying or selling a house can be so stressful, but the team at Middletons made our journey a lot easier and we are forever grateful for that. If we could give 6 stars, we would!

From the first time we visited the office to advise of our desire to move from our existing agent, through to them taking over the management of my property, the whole process was painless. Communication was great, we were always kept in the loop during each stage of the transition. Seamless is the only way that the service can be described. 9th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Julie was a delight to deal with and I am sure she would have been tenacious and got the deal through smoothly if a buyer had been found. Drawback 1 was made clear to us at the outset but we did not appreciate the importance of them being a franchise i.e. each branch is out for themselves rather than a sharing attitude of a nationwide company. Drawback 2 ...Victoria was very professional and assured us she would do all of our viewings. This happened for approx 3 months, after that Julie did them and we literally heard nothing from Victoria again it seemed to us that she had lost interest. Every potential buyer (16 viewings) gave the same feedback.....parking, but Winkworth did not seem to be proactive about addressing this with buyers. Our eventual selling agent only managed to do 2 viewings, both parties offered and neither mentioned parking. I appreciate that we reduced the price when we changed agents but the parking 'problem' didn't magically disappear.

When a Grade II listed property is involved, there are likely to be wrinkles. Still, Jan, in particular, was a highly responsive conduit between the seller and us, ensuring matters were attended to correctly and timely. The sale and contracts are now exchanged, with both parties happy - the exact definition of a good negotiation outcome.
