22nd Jan 2026 (21 weeks ago)We saw a property for let online, and last week my partner reached out to the agency to request a viewing and ask what documents were needed for the application. We were told we’d get an email with the details, but never received a response. After ome week I followed up asking for both a reply and a viewing, but again, nothing. Honestly, it’s not surprising the property has been on the market for almost a year—prospective tenants shouldn’t have to chase basic communication. Because of this lack of professionalism and responsiveness, we decided to look elsewhere and won’t be dealing with this agency.

Wayne came in for a valuation and provided great advice and guidance, arranged all the paperwork swiftly so we could put our house on the market within a very short time. Him and Aron managed viewings and kept is informed throughout. We got and offer we were happy to accept in less than 2 weeks of being in the market which was really important for us. They are very responsive and proactive in arranging various details as we progressing through the sale conveyancing. Very pleased about choosing them to sell our property.

18th Jan 2026 (22 weeks ago)I do not recommend it. We lived in the Newlands Park property that they manage in London for 5 years. The owner invests 0 in the property. During the winter, the toilet gets a lot of mould due to the humidity. We always asked them to fix it, and they never did; we fixed it ourselves, as both my husband and I have respiratory issues. They were always very, very slow to respond to issues we had with the property; we had to chase them all the time. In fact, during our last month in the property, a water pipe that always been damaged broke again because the person the send to fix it only puts tape, and doesn't fix it properly By the 3rd year, they wanted to increase the rent, and you’d think, yes, that’s fair, but again, the landlord never wanted to reinvest in the property, even though it clearly needed a decent investment. We were very reluctant to allow them to increase the rent, as the property NEEDS a lot of repairs. No double glazing, so the property is not energy efficient. The cellar has mould, so anything you put in there gets ruined by it. The wood in the kitchen window and the bath is rotten, never got fixed During our last year (2025), in May, THEY LIED and told us the owner wanted to sell the property; we were thinking of leaving the country anyway, so we were okay with it. They told us we had to leave by August. However, the timing was not right, as we had some travel planned. We managed to get an extension until November, sorted out our move and work situation, and moved to Spain at the end of November. And to add, they took 1.5 months to return our deposit. My husband had to chase them a couple of times, and the last time he told them that if the deposit wasn't returned by the 9th of Jan, he would escalate it. they didn’t even return all of it. , and guess what? The property is now available TO RENT £150 more expensive, and with all of the issues we flag and they and the landlord haven’t fixed them at all. AVOID!

15th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I would genuinely recommend using Truepenny’s Charlton if you want to sell your property. From the initial valuation (which was much more realistic that other overly inflated figures from other estate agents) the service by the team in the Charlton branch was excellent. We were trying to sell our flat in an already difficult market but Bhavi and David secured many viewings over the summer and finally an offer was made. The team were always available to help and nudge things along. I’d happily use them again.

23rd May 2026 (27 days ago)Unprofessional and untrustworthy. Avoid. They raised my rent by 25% and never acted on maintenance issues i would raise. Typical slum estate agents, dingy flats and dodgy fees.
2nd May 2026 (7 weeks ago)We had been looking to move house for around 4 years and given the majority of estate agents we dealt with i can understand why they have the reputation that they do... Lewis is totally different! Throughout the whole process he felt more like a friend than an agent! He was always one phone call or message away and he always went above and beyond to ensure he was helping to the best of his abilities. I now understand why Lewis often mentioned his phone battery was about to die as it is clear he must treat every client with the same care and consideration! Going forwards I will only be looking to use Lewis for any property dealings and I have already recommended him to family and friends - who are using him! Thanks once again for all your help Lewis!
15th Jun 2026 (4 days ago)The experience was good as far as the agent's work and effort goes and the very high number of visits it hosted (49). Also, Andrew always had a cheerful and positive attitude and responded promptly to my enquiries. The market coverage was good since we got a lot of interest from the market. However the product turned out not to be positioned correctly since staging the property through the use of AI, per agent's recommendation, was not the right move as this only attracted buyers expecting to see a turn-key project and were disappointed at discovering the actual condition of the property. In other words the initial ad did not reflect the property appearance and was counterproductive since we got the wrong kind of buyer at almost every visit.. As a result there was only one offer out of as many as 49 visitors (a disappointing result) and the price I had to agree to was quite a bit less than both what I had expected and also what the agent had assessed the property to be worth initially before pressing me hard to reduce the price considerably. Therefore, I have mixed feelings about my experience though I am confident Truepenny's would do better in selling turn-key projects as opposed to houses needing work.

Since the day I moved into the property, they have been extremely helpful, professional, and responsive. Natasha was always kind, supportive, and quick to assist whenever I needed help or had any questions. The team managed everything smoothly and made the moving process much less stressful. 2nd Jun 2026 (17 days ago)I was highly recommended by a close freind of mine of a newly sited independent estate agency in the heart of South Croydon for the sale of our properties. I cannot express enough to anyone in using Marriot Vernon without a doubt. The expertise, knowledge guidance and the transparency. The beginning to the end is a complete story of helping in any avenue of assurance and comfort. There is no hidden, minute clauses, charges, percentages and tied into wrangles of advertisement of a sale in there contracts or promises which other agents do. This is a an agency what they say they do the end. They are open to competitors and I know fully well they command a prestigious elevated position, which one is drawn too. Anyone out there thinking of selling it is a home to a home, team effort and work ethos. Within 2 weeks of advertisement of the sale of our property I had an offer right through completion that's a result! Straight forward and no hidden agendas. Try them you wont be disappointed I am glad I did so thanks to my freinds recommendation and now I am highly recommending you. 17th Jun 2026 (2 days ago)After years of using the big established estate agents and never been completely satisfied I decided to try a local independent estate agent Grafton and I’m glad I did,right the start Tariq the owner was on the ball keeping me informed offering sound advice and always on the end of the phone if I had something I needed to discuss,something that rarely happens with the bigger estate agents,Grafton are now managing my flat and I would definitely recommend them if your buying,selling or renting

It took us a while but we all got there in the end! Thanks Abidul- 16th Mar 2026 (14 weeks ago)Buying and selling a property is already a very stressful time and I found this estate agents overall poor, and general lack of communication exasperated what should be a simple part of the process in relation to viewing properties. I contacted the agency a number of times requesting a viewing to not get through to anyone or told to wait for a callback. When I did finally receive the confirmation, communication issues persisted with no replies to queries, a dead phone line when trying to call, and even a closed office even though we could see someone sitting in there. I was often given the excuse of a tech issue, but no other route to contact them was offered. We were left standing in the cold waiting for the viewing and 15 minutes late the door opened and it appeared the estate agent was waiting inside the whole time. I was very disappointed in the service and even if I was interested in the property I would think twice before buying in case the poor communication carried on delaying the sale.
