11th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)We have recently found a property to rent via Jackson Stops and the service we have received from Simon Roberts has been second to none, Simon is very professional and engaging. From the first meet, to the handling of paperwork, the process has been effortless and stress free, We have both struggled with estate agents in the past and dreaded the whole process, however Simon has been amazing and completely changed our perception, he carried out the whole process from start to finish in a professional, highly knowledgeable manner with nothing ever being too much to ask. Simon had vast knowledgeable on the property we were viewing and knew the local area very well. We thought that all of the marketing from Jackson Stops had been prepared to a very high standard and much better than anything else we had seen produced other agents. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured into making any decisions, we felt we had the perfect amount of time to view the house, think about the property & even go back for a second viewing without the worry of it being snatched away, Simon gave us the reassurance we needed. Every telephone call was answered by the team in the office, every message has been passed on and every phone call has been returned without fail, Simon kept us informed throughout the process answering our questions and queries efficiently and accurately. Would highly recommend Jackson Stops, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon Roberts Harley & Paul.

Out of the 3 quotes we received, Satchells gave by far the best price and sold it for more than the prices the other 2 agencies proposed to put the house on the market for. They worked quickly and had viewings straight away. They clearly have a fantastic network of buyers. They were brilliant and helped us tackle a number of challenging hurdles. If you want to sell your house, go with Satchells.
3rd Apr 2024 (17 days ago)After 20 years in America, we returned to the UK and began the search for a new home. The process is completely different than in the US, and thankfully we connected very early on with Melissa. She was wonderful! Her guidance, expertise and knowledge sharing were invaluable. We strongly recommend her.

Phil in particular went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly when purchasing my first home. I could ring the office at any time and knew the team at country properties would do everything they could to assist. The team listened to me and took the time to help with issues I was having with my solicitors and allowed me to view the property as many times as I wanted. I Cannot fault Country properties and will recommend them to everyone.

Sam was also great, he did his utmost to help us through a very long purchase chain, kept us up to date consistently and again was easy to deal with during the whole process.
27th Sep 2023 (6 mo. ago)First Step used to be the go to agents in the local area, they seemed honest and transparent. From my experience this is a thing of the best with them. There are many agents in the local area now who are much better then First Step, they will look after you and are much more sincere. My advice would be, dont just go with them, give all the others the same opportunity, remember First Step excel in talking the talk, but once your signed in, they dont walk the walk. Think is all I advise anyone.

Kept update at all times and after our first sale collapsed after 6 months, not due to Country Properties, they quickly re marketed our house and we had 3 offers in only 2 days leading to a very completion in less than 8 weeks. Excellent liaison with the recommended solicitors. Big thanks especially to Lucy who handled our transaction.

Our situation was slightly unusual but Michael's knowledge and the advice he gave us were both excellent and ensured we applied for (and obtained) the right mortage for our situation. He was also very helpful with our questions - not just about mortgages but other house related topics such as NHBC, queries about survey wording etc. We highly recommend him.- 28th Oct 2021 (2 years ago)I have found some estate agents to be all about the sale and provide little knowledge or care about the property and area they are selling, let alone taking the time to get to know a potential purchaser and what is right for them. Paul from Connells, Hitchin however has restored my faith and has proved to have an outstanding knowledge of the properties and areas he has showed us, as well as taking the time during and after viewings to discuss them. At no point did I not think he wouldn’t do what was right by me and also the buyer. His knowledge of the market and legal matters were particularly helpful too. James really cares about his clients and this is invaluable when going through something as big and often as stressful as trying to sell or buy a house.
