They were efficient and considerate when issues needed to be addressed and always gave plenty of notice if a visit was necessary for maintenance or utility or property inspection. I can highly recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable letting agency.
14th Aug 2025 (1 year ago)We put our house on the market in March, we decided on Barnard Marcus as their valuation was the highest (out of 3). Their initial contact was good and positive but after a couple of months they suggested we drop the price from 575k. To 500k, this was a huge drop and far from their valuation of 575-600k, although viewings continued they didn’t really give any updates or feedback so we ended our contract with them when the initial 20 weeks were complete.

Broke the bad image that estate agents can sometimes get by being honest with me about not having loads of viewings, and not forcing me into purchasing a property that wasn’t right for me. Special shout out to Joel who my mum and I agreed was a breath of fresh air, very informative and had terrific integrity. It is a shame I an not purchasing a property with this agent, as everyone was super! Thank you, highly recommended.

I have used other letting agents in the past but none have managed my property as well. They carefully vetted the tenants and maintained full and reliable control of the property. They ensured I was up to speed with changes in property law and advised how best to proceed in light of the changes, I am delighted that they are still managing my property.

Her service is directed entirely towards accommodating the client's specific needs and circumstances, which could be complex. But her management knowledge and skills always find a solution - it is a quality of service we could only wish for nowadays. Would recommend her to anyone!

Thinking I would see the back of them once I moved in I powered through, however this was not the case, Our payment methods were switched and I had to beg for a week to get the banking information of their own estate agency! Making my first payment late.The property I moved into was handed to me in a disastrous state which was a problem in its own right. I recommend this estate agency if your a fan of headaches and panic attacks. Avoid at all costs.
