Lewis was always quick to respond to emails and kept me updated at every point of the process. Lewis went beyond in many ways - offering helpful recommendations and I felt fully supported throughout the whole process as a first-time buyer. I would definitely recommend John D Wood & Co.

Throughout those years, Jade has always been very patient with our queries and always speedy and productive with answers. She was also extremely helpful when our first tenancy ended unexpectedly when our Landlord wanted to sell. She found us a flat in the building next door and we got to move without any fuss at all. Saving what could have been a very stressful event. Very much appreciated all her help.
17th May 2024 (2 years ago)I purchased my first flat through KFH. They were very efficient and responsive during this process, and guided me well. However, apart from these, my experience was not at all positive. It became evident very quickly that they were working solely for the benefit of the seller. Little to none was done to take into account what would work for me, both mortgage-wise, and in terms of discussing exchange/completion dates - it was always a matter of doing what the seller wanted. There were also a few events of miscommunication/incorrect information which resulted into me losing some money. I do acknowledge that they were dealing with a particularly demanding seller, but in my opinion, what makes a good agent (or rather a good employee in general), is their ability to deal with difficult, non-trivial situations. I would not recommend KFH as a buyer.

31st May 2026 (14 days ago)We moved into a property in 2019 advertised by Sharpes Estates with a garden full of rubbish, tyres, overgrown weeds and even mice. Their agent Kyla assured us the landlord would arrange for it to be cleared, but after more than six months of excuses and no action, we had to clean it ourselves and deduct the cost from the rent. They also failed to update our tenancy agreement on time and, when they finally did, they calculated the rent incorrectly. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and discussing it professionally, Mr Andrew threatened us with eviction proceedings if we did not accept the proposed increase on the contract we already signed 30 days ago. We are now dealing with water ingress in our bathroom from the flat above, and Sharpes Estates have stated that they do not manage the property and that we should contact the landlord directly. Throughout our tenancy, there has been a consistent lack of accountability, communication and follow-through. We have retained all email correspondence documenting these issues. Given our experience, we are genuinely concerned about what will happen when we eventually leave the property. Would not recommend Sharpes Estates to tenants. -- I have updated my review and included a copy of our complaint from seven years ago, proving these issues were raised at the time. Sharpes may not have managed the property, but it acted as the letting agent, renewed our tenancy, and represented the landlord. It therefore had a duty to communicate and escalate our concerns. The fact that Sharpes has no record of our complaint does not change the facts. We do. Unfortunately, our recent communication with Mr Andrew only confirms our concerns about Sharpes' professionalism and accountability.

7th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)Worst experience ever. Please avoid Dexter if you can. 2 days at 15 degrees. 6 weeks back and forward with maitenance team. Gas leak in between. Boiler still not working. Bad management and worst professionalism and rude communication. Manager office said in writting: “if you don’t like you are welcomed to leave the property” in reference to not have warm water or heater. They only provided electric heater the first time at 15 degrees because we requested. Second time, second day at 15 degrees and still non-responsive.

Matthew made the whole process incredibly smooth and stress-free, guiding me step by step and offering support from start to finish. The communication was excellent throughout, which made everything so much easier. Lina and Helen were also lovely to deal with—always more than happy to answer any questions I had along the way. Overall, everyone I interacted with was kind and extremely helpful. I couldn’t recommend them more to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable estate agent in South West London

I must praise them on their professionalism (as well as the sales department !) and on how well they have looked after me as a landlord and seller, and my property. Throughout this time, all my queries and needs have been dealt with promptly and effectively. Without a doubt, top-notch customer service ! 12th Jun 2026 (2 days ago)Moving house is always a stressful experience, but Hume Homes were incredibly helpful compared to many of the other estate agents we encountered. They provided a proper face-to-face viewing of the property and maintained very quick communication throughout the whole process. If anything needed doing, it was sorted out immediately. Now that we have moved in, we are still in the process of truly making it our own by buying furniture, but it is brilliant to have finally found a place in Streatham right near the town centre and train station. I would highly recommend their services!
