12th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)Wouldn’t recommend!<br>I have raised several concerns about one of their tenants, to Helen & the MD but nothing has been done. Emails are ignored or replied to months later with inadequate excuses, since they moved in in December 2025!<br>I am writing this review at 4 am, having been kept up until 11 pm with the 8 year old child screaming like a banshee again and now being woken up with him banging around the house!<br>I have lived at my property for four years, and the last year has been a total nightmare!

From the very beginning until we received the keys to our new home, Mae was incredibly kind, professional, and supportive.<br>She was always available to answer our questions, kept us updated throughout the process, and made everything smooth and stress-free. Her communication was excellent, and she genuinely cared about helping us.<br>We are absolutely delighted with the service we received and would highly recommend Home & Castle Estate Agents to anyone buying or selling a home.<br>Thank you, Mae and the whole team — we are truly grateful! ????????

26th May 2026 (16 weeks ago)Duncan came to view and value our 6 bedroom property in Egerton …stayed for an hour and a half …. left promising to send detailed email valuation … two weeks later still nothing despite calling the office to check he had the correct details. Not very professional and not a good sign. Won’t be proceeding with savills

30th May 2025 (1 year ago)Property in Hastings was an estate sale, rendered challenging by the fact that I live five hours’ drive away. However, Stuart and Emma were exceptionally helpful and nothing was a problem - exactly the kind of “can do” attitude that is becoming increasingly rare these days. Thanks are thus due to the pair for dealing with what has not been a straightforward sale.

9th Sep 2026 (8 days ago)Very pleasant to deal with and react to enquiries, largely dealt with Amira who was very helpful, other members of the team were quick to step in and show me around the property when I wanted to double check or measure etc. All around a great experience with the Battle office and auxiliary team members. ^^

Far from being a traumatic and worrying time it has gone smoothly and stress free . They have handled every stage professionaly and always been on hand to answer any queries. Nice to know some people actually answer the phone !!! The staff are all friendly and willing to help whatever the problem . Special thanks to Ben and his amazing team and to Ashley in Hastings. 17th Dec 2025 (8 mo. ago)Asked if it was possible to get a all be it large reduction on a rental property per month if I were to guarantee the rent for 4/5 years and was sent a very passive aggressive response from the lettings manager Edward Gailey “so just to be clear you’re offering X for a property listed at X per month?” Unwarranted response when he could have just said that this wasn’t possible on this property and then could have suggested some other properties in my bracket! None the less they have lost a tenant that was about to let 4 properties in one go! Oh well, maybe some customer service training wouldn’t go a miss for Mr Gailey lettings manager?

22nd May 2026 (17 weeks ago)We are only Under offer at the time of writing this review and so there is some distance to go, but so far Rush Witt & Wilson have shown themselves to be been a united team of keen Estate Agents in the Hastings office that we believe are doing their best to market and sell our house. They have been open and honest about the strengths and weaknesses of our property and although we are disappointed that the sellers market is so flat in late May 2026, we think we can trust their advice to set the price at what the market will achieve. Ask us again after completion.

They always give 100% when transforming and styling spaces and take time to adjust minute details to allow properties to look their best. On top of that they have great personalities and look after those working with them and their customers. I just received a lovely card thanking me for working with them this year, an unexpected touch of kindness.

5th Sep 2026 (12 days ago)Thomas…rude, arrogant and, judging by the approach, seemingly more suited to being an ’80s double-glazing salesman than a modern estate agent.<br><br>Reading through some of the other reviews, I noticed a recurring theme in the responses: unhappy reviewers appear to be dismissed as “competitors” or “bots”. So let me make this very clear from the outset, my family and I are neither. We are genuine, serious buyers who were interested in a property on Lansdowne Road marketed at £410,000.<br><br>The agency proudly states that it works seven days a week and late hours, yet when we asked whether a 6pm viewing could be accommodated around our family commitments, Thomas seemed genuinely astonished at the suggestion. Considering estate agents earn commission by actually selling property, I would have thought accommodating a serious buyer at 6pm was hardly an outrageous request.<br><br>Perhaps the most revealing part of the conversation, however, was Thomas referring to a £410,000 property as a “small sale”.<br><br>That tells you everything.<br><br>If I were the vendor, I would be extremely interested to know that the person instructed to market my £410,000 home apparently considers the sale too insignificant to warrant much enthusiasm.<br><br>For buyers, the message seems equally clear: unless your budget reaches whatever figure Thomas personally deems worthy of his time, perhaps adjust your expectations accordingly.<br><br>Once again, before the predictable response appears, no, we are not competitors. No, we are not bots. We are a genuine family, with genuine funds, who were genuinely interested in purchasing one of your client’s properties.<br><br>In fact, the experience has been so poor that I am seriously considering knocking on the vendor’s door and explaining personally why a serious buyer has been put off by the very agent being paid to sell their home.<br><br>It all feels rather less like a professional estate agency and rather more like an ’80s window salesman deciding whether the commission is worth getting out of his chair for.<br><br>£410,000 might be “small” to Thomas.<br><br>But I suspect the vendor losing a serious £410,000 buyer won’t find it quite so funny
