19th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)We decided to switch estate agents to William H. Brown in Wakefield after receiving very few viewings with our previous agent, and it turned out to be the right decision! Our very first viewing resulted in an offer, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, the sale later fell through, through no fault of the agents, but thankfully we managed to get things back on track and secure another buyer. We did eventually agree to a reduced price to help achieve a quicker sale, as by that point we were more than ready to move!<br>We mainly dealt with Amy and Annette, both of whom were incredibly helpful, supportive and understanding throughout the process. When our first sale fell through, I must admit I went to pieces a little (or perhaps a lot!). We were quite far along in the process, had sold most of our belongings and packed up much of the rest, so the thought of starting all over again was overwhelming. Amy and Annette were very understanding and reassuring during what was a particularly stressful time.<br>I did feel that I was chasing for updates occasionally, although, in fairness, this was probably more down to my own eagerness to get everything moving than anything else. Once you've mentally moved house, packed half your life into boxes and are desperate to get out of there, patience isn't exactly your strongest virtue!<br>Overall, we were very happy with the service and would happily recommend Amy, Annette and the team at William H. Brown in Wakefield. I'm not planning on selling again anytime soon (once was enough for my nerves!), but I will be turning to them to help us find our next property. Hopefully, they'll be just as good at helping us buy our new home as they were at helping us sell our old one! Thank you team

2nd Sep 2025 (1 year ago)I do feel that they need to have social media platforms to promote properties like most agents do. Also there is no shop to go in or for them to advertise the brochure etc. there way of working g may work for some for houses that will sell quickly but not for me.

Vicki’s communication has been second to none, and she continues to provide support when needed even now the purchase is complete. 25th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Dreadful experience of Reeds Rains.<br>When valued by David who was lovely, friendly and professional we were informed that we would have no problem selling our house. Here we are nearly 4 months later after only 4 viewings where nobody was in a position to proceed. It has come to light that they over value your property. They offer very little advice, attention to detail and communication is poor. Then when I informed them I was unhappy with the service and wished to leave them they state I have to give 28 days notice before I can re advertise with another agent, but they take it off the market after 20 days without informing me. Im sorry but I do not feel they go out of their way to sell your property hence the number for sale through them around our area. All clearly overpriced. I did deal with a lovely lady one weekend, but my main contact was with Jack who just said "we will move your photos around and send your house to new people on our books" every time I spoke to him. Then proceeded to talk rubbish about nothing of any value saying things will pick up after the school holidays which is rubbish as very few houses have sold where I live.<br><br>There seems to be really positive reviews around two ladies who work there, but unfortunately I haven't had any contact with them or this review may have been very different. I have been generous giving two stars but as David was great and the weekend lady 1 star didnt feel fair
20th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)We feel they have made the process of selling our son’s property so much easier for us. They have a friendly, honest approach and have keep communication going at all times, which has been extremely helpful for us.
9th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)Only one viewing throughout the marketing period, we didn’t feel they pushed the property at all, we did a large reduction within the marketing time and received no feedback from the office even though it was promised, our point of contact switched half way through but nobody told us or introduced themselves, when we advised we were taking it off the market nobody made notes/acknowledged or followed it through, we had to chase when the property would be off the market and board removed and the office didn’t know what we were talking about, boards still here over 3 wks after it was removed from market.
