19th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)We decided to switch estate agents to William H. Brown in Wakefield after receiving very few viewings with our previous agent, and it turned out to be the right decision! Our very first viewing resulted in an offer, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, the sale later fell through, through no fault of the agents, but thankfully we managed to get things back on track and secure another buyer. We did eventually agree to a reduced price to help achieve a quicker sale, as by that point we were more than ready to move!<br>We mainly dealt with Amy and Annette, both of whom were incredibly helpful, supportive and understanding throughout the process. When our first sale fell through, I must admit I went to pieces a little (or perhaps a lot!). We were quite far along in the process, had sold most of our belongings and packed up much of the rest, so the thought of starting all over again was overwhelming. Amy and Annette were very understanding and reassuring during what was a particularly stressful time.<br>I did feel that I was chasing for updates occasionally, although, in fairness, this was probably more down to my own eagerness to get everything moving than anything else. Once you've mentally moved house, packed half your life into boxes and are desperate to get out of there, patience isn't exactly your strongest virtue!<br>Overall, we were very happy with the service and would happily recommend Amy, Annette and the team at William H. Brown in Wakefield. I'm not planning on selling again anytime soon (once was enough for my nerves!), but I will be turning to them to help us find our next property. Hopefully, they'll be just as good at helping us buy our new home as they were at helping us sell our old one! Thank you team

8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

25th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Dreadful experience of Reeds Rains.<br>When valued by David who was lovely, friendly and professional we were informed that we would have no problem selling our house. Here we are nearly 4 months later after only 4 viewings where nobody was in a position to proceed. It has come to light that they over value your property. They offer very little advice, attention to detail and communication is poor. Then when I informed them I was unhappy with the service and wished to leave them they state I have to give 28 days notice before I can re advertise with another agent, but they take it off the market after 20 days without informing me. Im sorry but I do not feel they go out of their way to sell your property hence the number for sale through them around our area. All clearly overpriced. I did deal with a lovely lady one weekend, but my main contact was with Jack who just said "we will move your photos around and send your house to new people on our books" every time I spoke to him. Then proceeded to talk rubbish about nothing of any value saying things will pick up after the school holidays which is rubbish as very few houses have sold where I live.<br><br>There seems to be really positive reviews around two ladies who work there, but unfortunately I haven't had any contact with them or this review may have been very different. I have been generous giving two stars but as David was great and the weekend lady 1 star didnt feel fair

22nd Oct 2026 (10 days ago)We bought our house through Dawson's and Matt was incredible, l we had a very slow and lax solicitor and Matt was incredibly proactive and chased him regularly, keeping us updated at every chance and ensuring the agreed completion date was met. What could have been a stressful experience was a really positive experience thanks to Dawson's and Matt's hard work. If I was ever to sell, I would 100% use Dawson's for the sale. Cannot recommend enough
20th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)Professional<br>I recently purchased a property through carter jonas and dealt primarily with Tony write, from the initial first conversation Tony was extremely helpful dealing with a property that wasn’t always completely straightforward but he was so professional and knowledgeable about the property and the issues regarding the purchase.<br>Tony was on hand throughout the process supporting us with solicitor questions and keeping us updated throughout, which made such a difference to us as buyers.<br>Thank you Tony you did a fantastic job.

From start to finish, the support we received was outstanding.<br><br>Olivia has been absolutely wonderful — so accommodating with every single question and query we had, both before we moved in and still now that we’re settled in our new home.She always responded so quickly with clear, helpful and informative answers. Amber, Hannah and the whole team were excellent throughout the process, they kept us fully informed and their communication was excellent. If we sell another property we will absolutely use Paisleys again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone (they are also very reasonably priced.)

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier.
