8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

David came to our house today to carry out a valuation and we were very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and friendly approach. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and gave us honest and helpful advice about our property and the local market. We found him approachable, punctual, and very knowledgeable about the Wakefield area. The whole experience was positive and stress-free, and we would highly recommend David and the team at Reeds Rains Wakefield to anyone looking for a property valuation or estate agent services.

12th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)every property I enquire with don't want to help me get a property do not want to help me never want to give me after you and or NothingI will report this to the council and hopefully the council can do their investigation7 years I've been looking for a house. This is absolutely wrong. Very unfair on me. But it's always me that never gets nothing.in the future, if you do not want to take me on then just say and I'll look somewhere else.definitely doesn't like me because I'm autistic. Always making excuses.very disappointed.

Her communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. I was kept informed at every stage, and any questions I had were answered quickly and clearly. She went above and beyond to ensure everything progressed smoothly, making what can often be a stressful experience feel straightforward and well-managed. What impressed me most was her dedication, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to achieving the best possible outcome. Her expertise and proactive approach helped secure a successful sale despite the best efforts of less competent ‘professionals’ in the chain, and we felt supported from start to finish. The level of customer service was truly first-class, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about her clients. 21st May 2026 (23 days ago)?Very disappointing experience with EweMove. ?I chose their most expensive package and even paid extra for photos, but the pictures were poor and the listing went live with missing information. Despite charging a hefty 15% of the monthly rent, they only arranged a few viewings over two months and failed to find a tenant. ?To make matters worse, they broke my balcony door during a viewing. While they initially agreed to pay for the damage, they first stalled by telling me I’d have to wait two weeks until they returned from holiday. Now, they are outright refusing to pay for the damage they caused. ?I listed the flat myself on OpenRent and found a great tenant in just 3 days. EweMove provided an incredibly expensive service with very poor results, capped off by a complete lack of integrity regarding the property damage. I strongly recommend avoiding them.
1st May 2026 (6 weeks ago)We were buyers, and found the staff at Mallinsons easily contacted, very helpful and knowledgeable about the properties we were viewing and when we came to purchasing a property, very good at following progress. When we went to collect the keys to our new house, we were delighted to receive a welcome hamper of prosecco and Yorkshire goodies.

27th Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)I would certainly recommend Martin Mellor. We sold our property after tenants moved out & we had moved to another area. Martin sold the property quickly and kept an eye on it as it was empty during the sales process. He took photos to show he had been into the property ( to satisfy Insurance company) and sorted out queries from the buyer. He helped to get the sale over the line when timelines were pressing. No hesitation in recommending his services.

30th May 2026 (14 days ago)I would not use DPSH again. During my purchase transaction, I found the conduct of senior staff disappointing and unnecessarily confrontational. I was described as "shady" and "dodgy" and told that I "didn't understand the market" despite being fully engaged throughout the process, responding promptly to requests, spending over £2,000 on surveys and associated costs, and progressing my mortgage application through to offer stage. When my original buyer withdrew, I immediately explored alternative options and made it clear that I was in a position to proceed without relying on the sale of my own property. Despite this, I was subjected to pressure, arbitrary deadlines, and repeated suggestions that the property would be remarketed. I am fortunate enough to work within the property and financial services industry and was able to challenge this behaviour confidently. My concern is that many buyers would simply accept this sort of treatment and feel pressured into making decisions they would not otherwise make. The most disappointing part is that after all of this, the transaction ultimately broke down when another offer was accepted, despite my position having been clearly explained. This left me having incurred significant costs and invested considerable time into a purchase that I was willing and able to progress. What was most surprising was that many of these comments came from the director of the company rather than a junior member of staff. Property transactions are stressful enough without buyers having their integrity questioned or being subjected to unnecessary pressure. Unfortunately, my experience fell well below the level of professionalism I would expect.

The photos of the house were brilliant and the marketing is the best around . Would highly recommend them and we will be definitely be using them again
