24th Apr 2024 (5 days ago)As a landlord of a property in Hemel Hempstead that I have been letting with Brown & Merry for the last 10 years. I have never had any issues with my tenants until recently when due to Stephen Counden and Eliot Mortimer's quick response we managed to mitigate the situation before it got worse. I cannot thank them both enough for their support and effort made to come to a good outcome for all. This was extremely stressful for both me and them included and I really feel they went over and above what was expected. Thanks again to you both

25th Apr 2024 (4 days ago)I don't know why but, I feel they are just waste of time. they show house to about 30 people. then they call for interview with the owner. Owner is least interested in talking and decides just by looking at you if you can afford to pay the rent. Decision takes forever and meanwhile if we follow up. Once, very interested to reply guy (Anil Ranakoti) turns to a not interested to talk and reply guy. when called to know the status says ' you don't have to call, if you are selected you will get to know' I am serving notice to my current landlord, i can't let you take your own sweet time to reply.

Matthew and his team have made this journey as stress free as possible for me, from the first phone call to enquire on a property to signing the lease! Great job PM Estates ???? However, once the lease has been signed, they have little to no interest in resolving queries or matters with the property. Their responsibility seems to end on placement. This changes the experience.
5th Apr 2024 (24 days ago)I recently sold my house with Ashtons Harpenden and the process couldn’t have been easier. Jonny was excellent, he really knew who the buyers for my house would be and got lots of viewings very quickly. I ended up with three offers to choose from and Jonny guided me to choose a really good person to sell to… Rebecca was also great during the post sale process and helped maintain a really friendly relationship with the buyer all the way through to completion. First class experience. Thank you to all the team. 3rd Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?

17th Nov 2023 (23 weeks ago)Please avoid renting with them at all costs! You will never get your deposit back. Our flat was 30+ year old and tired as you would expect, which we accepted when we moved in. We lived there only 11 months as the house was poorly insulated, we even had ice inside the house in the winter months, they never fixed it (among other things) so we decided to leave the flat. To our surprise, when we handed over the house, they brought their 'expert', a guy called Mark who has been with them for ages, as an 'independent' inspector, who obviously isn't. They will claim all kinds of non existent changes and damages and deduct if from your deposit! they event claimed is our fault that a crack appeared on the ceiling! AVOID!

18th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

I had viewed over 20 houses and this estate agency was one of the best among all, as I requested multiple viewings and to satisfy my purchase and mind. They were okay to bookinn and show me they property even on weekends. I highly recommend Giggs and Bell estate agency for property purchases and I will definetly ring them first for my second property…
