3rd Feb 2026 (13 weeks ago)We rented a property in Chingford from 1 February 2026 through Claremont Estates. Zak and Mafiz acted as a great bridge between us, the landlord, and Goodlord. The entire end-to-end process was smooth, efficient, and well explained step by step. The property was professionally cleaned and met a high standard. Everything was handled properly, and we are very satisfied with the experience.

17th Apr 2026 (18 days ago)We contacted this agency today about a rental property in cockfosters London and had a very concerning experience. I was told that before even arranging a viewing, I had to complete an “income check” by opening my banking app and following their instructions so they could verify my finances in real time. I was also told that if I refused, they would not show me the flat. This is not normal or acceptable practice in the UK. On the same day, my English friend called about the exact same property. He was not asked to do any of these checks, even when he mentioned he could provide payslips. There was no mention of any banking app access or unusual verification process. This difference in treatment is extremely concerning and raises serious questions about discrimination and possible racism based on background or accent. Everyone should be treated fairly and equally when enquiring about a property. I am aware of my legal rights and will consider reporting this behaviour to the relevant authorities and the local council. Practices like this should be properly investigated to ensure tenants are protected from discrimination and unsafe requests for personal financial information.

Throughout those years, Jade has always been very patient with our queries and always speedy and productive with answers. She was also extremely helpful when our first tenancy ended unexpectedly when our Landlord wanted to sell. She found us a flat in the building next door and we got to move without any fuss at all. Saving what could have been a very stressful event. Very much appreciated all her help.

Vicky was absolutely instrumental throughout the entire process. We first viewed an unbelievable opportunity down the road from our existing flat before it had even gone on the market, and she kindly allowed us to put in an offer early, which really helped get things moving quickly. From there, everything progressed at pace, and while the process wasn’t without its complexities, Vicky was always on hand and available — whether it was answering calls, keeping everyone aligned, or making sure communication never dropped. Her dedication, professionalism, and calm approach made a huge difference. I genuinely don’t think we would have managed to successfully complete both the sale and purchase without her support. I would highly recommend Abode and their fantastic team to anyone looking to buy or sell. Their knowledge of the local area and their professionalism are second to none. And a lovely bonus — they’re very dog-friendly! Every time I had an appointment, my dog was thoroughly spoiled with the best treats, which definitely earned them extra points ?????? Unfortunately, the purchase did not happen for personal reasons and decisions, nothing to do with the vendor or the very beautiful property they were selling. But Mrs Azra has been helpful and graceful in this circumstances also, never treating us any different for changing our minds and offering to help with whatever we needed propertywise in the future. It was such a lovely experience to meet her. We wish her all the good luck in her career! May many customers enjoy her assistance!

13th Apr 2026 (22 days ago)I had a very bad experience with this agency. Initially, the property was advertised for £2000, but after I agreed, the rent was suddenly increased to £2100. I was also asked to pay multiple deposits and advance rent, which I did in full. When I received the keys and moved in, the house was not ready at all. There were multiple issues—no proper electricity setup, no gas card, broken fittings, and unfinished repairs. Even though I was promised everything would be fixed, it took over a month after moving in to complete basic work. Later, serious issues like no heating and no hot water continued for months. Despite repeated complaints, the landlord failed to take responsibility and even asked me to arrange repairs myself, which is unacceptable when full rent is being paid. I gave proper notice and paid all rent up to my move-out date. However, now the landlord is refusing to return my deposit and is still making unreasonable demands. This has been one of the worst renting experiences I’ve ever had. Very unprofessional service, poor maintenance, and no accountability. I would not recommend this agency to anyone.
