2nd Mar 2026 (14 weeks ago)Every nightmare story you've ever heard about an estate agent is personified in these guys. Everyone I've spoken to who has dealt with them has had the worst experiences they've ever had renting. Imagine an estate agent actively trying to undermine and overcharge you at every corner while talking down to you and deliberately flouting the meagre renters rights we have in this country. Lottie and Valerija in particular offer some deeply, concerningly poor "customer service".

She was extremely helpful, professional, and always available to answer any questions we had. Javerna made everything feel easy and stress-free, keeping us updated every step of the way and ensuring the process went smoothly from start to finish. Her friendly attitude and dedication really stood out. I would highly recommend Hamptons Wimbledon to anyone looking for excellent service and support. Thank you again, Javerna!

17th May 2024 (2 years ago)I purchased my first flat through KFH. They were very efficient and responsive during this process, and guided me well. However, apart from these, my experience was not at all positive. It became evident very quickly that they were working solely for the benefit of the seller. Little to none was done to take into account what would work for me, both mortgage-wise, and in terms of discussing exchange/completion dates - it was always a matter of doing what the seller wanted. There were also a few events of miscommunication/incorrect information which resulted into me losing some money. I do acknowledge that they were dealing with a particularly demanding seller, but in my opinion, what makes a good agent (or rather a good employee in general), is their ability to deal with difficult, non-trivial situations. I would not recommend KFH as a buyer.

7th Apr 2026 (9 weeks ago)Imagine being so unprofessional that you schedule a viewing, talk so highly about your agency and then be extremely lame enough to not show up for the viewing. I had the absolute displeasure to deal with James Setright who scheduled a viewing and then forgot to show up at 308, Garratt Lane address at the time of the viewing. My partner travelled an hour to reach the address and then viola, nobody shows up, I call up and James picks up and tells me that there’s nothing he could do and the best he could do is to schedule it for another day. Whilst being civil and acting like he cared, there was absolutely no other alternative offered. I just feel sorry for the seller here, since they should pick up someone more professional and reasonable to deal with. To anyone at John D Wood who’s the owner, it’s not only hard to schedule viewings and reach your staff but they are just incredibly bad to deal with and make basic errors that are just blasphemous for. The nature of the business.

31st May 2026 (10 days ago)We moved into a property in 2019 advertised by Sharpes Estates with a garden full of rubbish, tyres, overgrown weeds and even mice. Their agent Kyla assured us the landlord would arrange for it to be cleared, but after more than six months of excuses and no action, we had to clean it ourselves and deduct the cost from the rent. They also failed to update our tenancy agreement on time and, when they finally did, they calculated the rent incorrectly. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and discussing it professionally, Mr Andrew threatened us with eviction proceedings if we did not accept the proposed increase on the contract we already signed 30 days ago. We are now dealing with water ingress in our bathroom from the flat above, and Sharpes Estates have stated that they do not manage the property and that we should contact the landlord directly. Throughout our tenancy, there has been a consistent lack of accountability, communication and follow-through. We have retained all email correspondence documenting these issues. Given our experience, we are genuinely concerned about what will happen when we eventually leave the property. Would not recommend Sharpes Estates to tenants. -- I have updated my review and included a copy of our complaint from seven years ago, proving these issues were raised at the time. Sharpes may not have managed the property, but it acted as the letting agent, renewed our tenancy, and represented the landlord. It therefore had a duty to communicate and escalate our concerns. The fact that Sharpes has no record of our complaint does not change the facts. We do. Unfortunately, our recent communication with Mr Andrew only confirms our concerns about Sharpes' professionalism and accountability.

7th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)Worst experience ever. Please avoid Dexter if you can. 2 days at 15 degrees. 6 weeks back and forward with maitenance team. Gas leak in between. Boiler still not working. Bad management and worst professionalism and rude communication. Manager office said in writting: “if you don’t like you are welcomed to leave the property” in reference to not have warm water or heater. They only provided electric heater the first time at 15 degrees because we requested. Second time, second day at 15 degrees and still non-responsive.

Matthew made the whole process incredibly smooth and stress-free, guiding me step by step and offering support from start to finish. The communication was excellent throughout, which made everything so much easier. Lina and Helen were also lovely to deal with—always more than happy to answer any questions I had along the way. He and James at the Wallington branch didn't add any pressure and made dealing with estate agents a pleasurable experience with no drama or pressure. Mum bought her flat through Andrews almost 30 years ago and I was happy to deal with them on its sale.
