18th Jan 2026 (15 weeks ago)I do not recommend it. We lived in the Newlands Park property that they manage in London for 5 years. The owner invests 0 in the property. During the winter, the toilet gets a lot of mould due to the humidity. We always asked them to fix it, and they never did; we fixed it ourselves, as both my husband and I have respiratory issues. They were always very, very slow to respond to issues we had with the property; we had to chase them all the time. In fact, during our last month in the property, a water pipe that always been damaged broke again because the person the send to fix it only puts tape, and doesn't fix it properly By the 3rd year, they wanted to increase the rent, and you’d think, yes, that’s fair, but again, the landlord never wanted to reinvest in the property, even though it clearly needed a decent investment. We were very reluctant to allow them to increase the rent, as the property NEEDS a lot of repairs. No double glazing, so the property is not energy efficient. The cellar has mould, so anything you put in there gets ruined by it. The wood in the kitchen window and the bath is rotten, never got fixed During our last year (2025), in May, THEY LIED and told us the owner wanted to sell the property; we were thinking of leaving the country anyway, so we were okay with it. They told us we had to leave by August. However, the timing was not right, as we had some travel planned. We managed to get an extension until November, sorted out our move and work situation, and moved to Spain at the end of November. And to add, they took 1.5 months to return our deposit. My husband had to chase them a couple of times, and the last time he told them that if the deposit wasn't returned by the 9th of Jan, he would escalate it. they didn’t even return all of it. , and guess what? The property is now available TO RENT £150 more expensive, and with all of the issues we flag and they and the landlord haven’t fixed them at all. AVOID!

Mark Waldron has provided us with excellent help and advice throughout, from our first meeting with him for valuation purposes, then during viewings and consideration of offers, and finally helping us to navigate through exchange and completion. Mark and his team have made the process as smooth and stress-free as possible and we highly recommend them.

Very responsive to our needs, easy to communicate with and when we came to give up renting and buy, she was really very flexible with helping us to do that with move out dates etc! I could not recommend Alvares Estates more, thank you Malissa!

What makes our perspective a little different is that we work with them on both sides—we rent out a property through them, and we also rent a property from them ourselves. That gives us real insight into how they treat both landlords and tenants, and honestly, they’ve been exceptional in every respect. Liam, Aaron, and Celine are an absolute credit to the team. They are consistently professional, approachable, and incredibly helpful—nothing ever feels like too much trouble. Communication is always clear and prompt, and you genuinely feel looked after, whether you’re a landlord or a tenant. What stands out most is their honesty and integrity. It’s rare to find a team that you can trust completely, but with them, you know they are always acting in your best interests. They are fair, transparent, and always go the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s genuinely a joy working with them. 5th Jun 2025 (11 mo. ago)After several years of renting my two-bedroom home through both the council and privately, I contacted a well-known agent after renovating the property to excellent standards in order to increase the rental price. A friend who was a pleased client suggested using an independent agency, iPropertyuk . I'm pleased to report that within a few weeks, my property was rented at the asking price, and I saved several hundred pounds on commission.

Always available, always charming, always diligent in following up the slightest lead. 20th Feb 2026 (11 weeks ago)I wish I had instructed Paul to sell my property initially because it had languished with 2 well known agents for Months without any sensible sale plan/updates.<br>Paul offered straight talking, no nonsense advice. We had an offer within days of the viewings.<br>Go with an agent who is as committed as you are to sell and will add valuable insight to the process. You won't be disappointed with Paul.

11th Feb 2026 (12 weeks ago)We sold our house in Buckhurst Hill. Alter and Cope helped immensely throughout the process. They were extremely helpful with the initial valuation and we always got feedback from viewings. They were also on hand to accommodate us logistically for the viewings. After we found the buyer they were always responsive and helpful to any questions we had. A sale can be stressful but they made our lives a lot easier with constant, helpful and responsive communication. 10/10
