Lewis was always quick to respond to emails and kept me updated at every point of the process. Lewis went beyond in many ways - offering helpful recommendations and I felt fully supported throughout the whole process as a first-time buyer. I would definitely recommend John D Wood & Co.

Russell, Adam and the whole team gave 110% in a very challenging time for selling. They gave advice without being pushy, did all the viewings, and maintained excellent communication throughout. Very highly recommended.

26th Aug 2023 (2 years ago)From the start communication was good and emails and phone calls were always responded to quickly. Rebecca was a very effective go between between buyer and seller and worked professionally.
17th May 2024 (2 years ago)I purchased my first flat through KFH. They were very efficient and responsive during this process, and guided me well. However, apart from these, my experience was not at all positive. It became evident very quickly that they were working solely for the benefit of the seller. Little to none was done to take into account what would work for me, both mortgage-wise, and in terms of discussing exchange/completion dates - it was always a matter of doing what the seller wanted. There were also a few events of miscommunication/incorrect information which resulted into me losing some money. I do acknowledge that they were dealing with a particularly demanding seller, but in my opinion, what makes a good agent (or rather a good employee in general), is their ability to deal with difficult, non-trivial situations. I would not recommend KFH as a buyer.- 16th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)We recently purchased a property through Adeline at KFH (Putney) and cannot recommend her and the team highly enough. From the very first viewing through to exchange, she was an absolute pleasure to deal with — knowledgeable, proactive, and genuinely invested in making the process as smooth as possible. Adeline always made sure we had exactly the information we needed, when we needed it. She was quick to respond, incredibly supportive when challenges arose, and consistently made us feel that we were in safe hands. We are delighted with the purchase of our new home and a large part of that is down to the experience Adeline gave us throughout.

7th Apr 2026 (10 weeks ago)Imagine being so unprofessional that you schedule a viewing, talk so highly about your agency and then be extremely lame enough to not show up for the viewing. I had the absolute displeasure to deal with James Setright who scheduled a viewing and then forgot to show up at 308, Garratt Lane address at the time of the viewing. My partner travelled an hour to reach the address and then viola, nobody shows up, I call up and James picks up and tells me that there’s nothing he could do and the best he could do is to schedule it for another day. Whilst being civil and acting like he cared, there was absolutely no other alternative offered. I just feel sorry for the seller here, since they should pick up someone more professional and reasonable to deal with. To anyone at John D Wood who’s the owner, it’s not only hard to schedule viewings and reach your staff but they are just incredibly bad to deal with and make basic errors that are just blasphemous for. The nature of the business.

27th Apr 2026 (7 weeks ago)Be very fearful of this agency. When we moved in, their agent Laura confirmed that du to our daughter suffering from pneumonia and having a serious of respiratory issues, the landlord could deal with the mould in property before we moved in. After we moved in they did not deal with it, and they ignored all of our messages relating it. Upon moving out, at the end of the one year term, they assisted the landlord in ensuring there was enough of a grey area where they could claim that we did not give notice for the end of our tenancy properly. As a result, they took an extra months rent, amounting to £5000, and stayed silent through the process whilst we attempted to take this back. At the end of adjudication the landlord ended up taking it, as they’re clear knew what they were doing and ensuring that they could take this money from a young family, despite us having moved out of the property in time, liaising with them to hand over the keys, and the landlord actually staying in the property and making used to the property after we moved out. I have never dealt with such an agency in my life - they knew the landlord would do this and never found it appropriate that once we moved out, the landlord intended to keep our entire deposit sum.

Both were a tremendous help throughout the process. Jack, in particular, was friendly, personable, always available, and a genuine pleasure to work with. Thanks to Jack (and Tom) we were able to get the purchase through relatively smoothly. Even before the purchase, we were impressed with their approach. Having seen another property in Balham with them, they kept us in mind when an off-market sale opportunity arose and ensured we saw that property as soon as possible. As it happens, that turned out to be the very flat we purchased. We would happily recommend Hamptons Balham to anyone and will use them in the future should the need arise. Thanks again Jack and Tom!

Matthew made the whole process incredibly smooth and stress-free, guiding me step by step and offering support from start to finish.
