12th Oct 2024 (6 mo. ago)It was an unfortunate start and things did go wrong but luckily we eventually sold the house for a reasonable price thanks to lots of help from Savills who stayed with us. It got very stressful at times because of delays etc. Would recommend this company of course.

Unlike other agents I’ve dealt with, Ellie stands out for her professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness. She took the time to really understand my needs, especially considering our complex living situation, and was genuinely friendly and eager to help. I highly recommend her for anyone seeking a thoughtful and supportive experience.

24th Mar 2025 (5 weeks ago)Extremely poor experience renting through Northwood. They claim to act impartially when dealing with deposit disputes however this is far from the truth. I would recommend avoiding this company at all costs. If you are already renting through Northwood, I would strongly advise demanding to be present at the check out report when you leave the property, as they and the landlords will try to deduct as much as humanly possible from your deposit and then continue to deduct as punishment for not accepting their first offer.
28th Oct 2024 (6 mo. ago)William H Brown were able to secure a buyer within a few months for my property and dealt with all queries promptly. David was particularly helpful in the latter stages of the sale with last minute negotiations.
28th Oct 2024 (6 mo. ago)Paul Markey unfortunately let the team down. I’m presuming he’s just started his career so his inexperience has resulted in some poorly judged, unprofessional behaviour. Real shame as we initially liked Paul and mentioned giving them more business in the future yet definitely one to avoid now sadly. Context - We decided to proceed with another property that was on sale with a different estate agent instead of Paul’s property. He wasn’t happy… “Thank you for wasting my time and also now having to have a very awkward conversation with my owner…. Lets hope for your sake you don’t get messed around like we have but if there is such a thing as property karma it may well happen. Think we can end this here” No commission on this one I’m afraid ????
25th Jan 2025 (13 weeks ago)Very disappointed with the short experience with this Lettings agency. Viewed a property which was said to be available immediately, put offer in of full asking price and now am being told the landlord is in no rush to let and they are waiting for other offers. Really frustrated as we have been chasing everyday to see what is happening, we made it clear that we are in a rush to leave our existing property as landlord is selling however, still received very poor service from this agency. Iv dealt with a a few in the past, and this is by far the slowest, advertising vacant properties then saying the landlord isn’t in a rush. Also got told the landlord would be happy with an 18 month contract, this is what we offered from the get go. If you need to move in a particular time frame, I really wouldn’t recommend this company.

From the viewing to acceptance of offer and after care everything has been fantastic. Always very responsive and happy to help with any questions or queries. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Jamie & Sophie made a stressful process stress free. We couldn’t recommend Connells enough.

Showed us around the property and was able to answer all our questions, very well informed which had not been our experience at other viewings around the county. Has kept us well informed and ensured it’s been a comfortable and smooth process.

Wendy did what she said she would, found a buyer quickly at a sensible price. This Estate Agents are the ones to go to to sell or buy a house.

Completely professional, calm and reassuring under pressure and, in our opinion, held the chain together, communicating with all parties involved to keep everyone fully informed. Duncan's guidance and approachability was second to none, he is a complete asset to the company and would recommend him completely if you are buying and/or selling a house in the area.

Constant communication, very knowledgeable and swift responses was extremely important for someone with my busy schedule. Positive asset for the firm and has encouraged me to recommend her to others in the future and continue to use Leaders in my later property needs.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Thank you to Daniel and the team ,and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who wants professional help to sell there property. A 5 star rating, for a 5 star service. Stephen Grant

He has provided us with an extremely useful market appraisal, which will really help us to plan our future actions.
