They very quickly lined up appointments and within a few weeks had found a buyer and just a few weeks later completed on the sale. Amy and the team were supportive, friendly and highly professional throughout and we are happy to recommend them to everyone!

Communication was excellent from everyone involved in the process, from arranging first viewing to picking up the keys. Jeremy, Helen and Emma were quick to respond to queries and were extremely knowledgeable. A special shout out to Emma, who followed the sale from start to finish, updating me at every step, reassuring me that the sale was progressing, no matter what obstacles came along.
12th Apr 2026 (4 days ago)A WARNING REGARDING CAPITAL ESTATE AGENTS AND ROB TANCRED I strongly advise caution when dealing with Rob Tancred at Capital Estate Agents. My experience involved documented professional irregularities and a complete failure to act neutrally in a multi-owner property sale. Anyone considering Capital Estate Agents should know the following verifiable facts: • LACK OF COMMUNICATION: From the very beginning, Rob Tancred and Capital Estate Agents have only communicated with me on very rare occasions. Bizarrely, the property has been abruptly removed from the market without my knowledge or consent. Meanwhile, Capital Estate Agents Bromley hold undisclosed discussions with the other parties and facilitate unannounced visits to my home, completely bypassing me as a 25% legal co-owner. • EXTREME BIAS & COLLUSION: Internal WhatsApp messages provided by Rob Tancred reveal that he colluded privately with one party against me. In these written messages, he uses highly unprofessional and derogatory language about his own client. • COMPLICITY IN FABRICATED EVIDENCE: The agency operates as joint agents alongside Pullen Estate Agents. Rob Tancred is fully complicit in these exclusionary tactics. Shockingly, their joint partners at Pullen even provided falsified call logs (claiming I made 23 calls when phone records proved only 8) to manufacture an excuse for excluding me. Capital Estate Agents continue to work alongside them despite this documented fabrication. • RETALIATORY BEHAVIOUR: When I dare to complain to Capital Estate Agents about being excluded and kept in the dark, they respond by complaining about my behaviour—punishing me for simply asking to be kept informed. • IGNORING COMPLAINTS & OMBUDSMAN ACTION: I sent a detailed 20-plus page formal complaint outlining serious breaches of contract and codes of practice, which Rob Tancred has entirely failed to address. Consequently, the conduct of Capital Estate Agents Bromley has now been formally escalated to, and is actively being handled by, The Property Ombudsman. (Please see the attached photographic evidence. There have been numerous cases of harassment by the other parties over the years; just one example is the disgusting rubbish dumped near my front door and in the front garden. This demonstrates the hostile environment I am facing at the property. It is appalling that Rob Tancred and Capital Estate Agents are working closely with the very people responsible for this behaviour, while entirely excluding me and ignoring my legitimate complaints). Unfortunately, various relatives who had lived in the property over the last few years have died. People who could have offered their support to me, and told the truth about what is going on are no longer alive. If you are looking for an estate agency that acts with transparency, honesty, and treats all parties equally, look elsewhere. Do not use Capital Estate Agents Bromley.
14th Apr 2026 (2 days ago)I was very happy with the service from the Orpington branch of Alan de Maid. We had four valuations, one was very low, one very high and two in the middle one of which was from Alan de Maid which I always felt was sensible and pitched in the right ball park. Pictures and promotional pack were good quality. I had contact or dealings with most of the team at various times and every was friendly but very professional. Last year, I sold another property in Bromley and used two different high street agents, but in terms of starting with a realistic price with good marketing literature, my experience of Alan de Maid was far superior. All round, very good job, sold the property quickly and my appreciation to James, Caleb and the team.

8th Apr 2026 (8 days ago)Please check reviews for countrywide Bromley before going with this estate agent. We rented a flat in Eynsford from Mann and got referred to them and in 13 years of renting we have never experienced anything like it. I will update this with the complaint we are sending off for full details but this is the short version: Flat seemed nice, when we moved in door didn’t lock, electrics were faulty with them either not working in one room and buzzing and flashing in another, no reliable heating and the boiler was broken. We were told by Jena the first two of these issues were not ‘urgent’. We also overpaid our rent for four months running before I noticed the contract said something different so they owed us hundreds of pounds but quite literally never said anything. When I asked who was responsible I never received an actual response for who I could talk to. It took months for anything to be done and countless emails and workmen coming out to the property for repairs. I reported the boiler broken November and no one was sent until 12th December. Both Jeri and Jena will either not reply to you at all or send you emails whereby they completely ignore what you’ve asked them? They sent someone to fix a sink that I repeatedly told them was no issue and he was there for five hours changing it and two broken tiles, did a faulty job (the sink was the wrong size for the hole), left blood stains in the cupboards and then broke the washing machine. We had no washing machine which we reported and it only got fixed when the nice heater man looked at it for us out of the goodness of his heart some weeks later when he was there for something else. Jeri never did anything but kept asking me what was wrong with it - it wasn’t working. Laura then told me because I hadn’t specified what was wrong that Jeri was correct not have done anything… how else can I say that it is broken? We reported it via fixflo and emails… I still have them. We never got the money back we had to pay to take our clothes to a laundrette despite providing receipts. It took from 5th March to the 30th March for us to receive a back payment they owed us when Laura told me it takes 3 - 5 business working days. The letterbox fell off and that was never fixed in four months, I had someone call me two days before were due to move asking us for even more time when they could come round and fix it.. When we stated that we hoped Jeri and Jena (the two people ‘managing’ the property) had had hot water and heating over Christmas (we did not and were paying 1150 a month) Jeri replied back with ‘ I actually have had a broken boiler and no hot water over the Christmas break and is still yet to be repaired’ as if she thought that we were her estate agents? I have never dealt with people so completely unprofessional and who actually went out off their way to be vindictive. Glad to be out of there and will avoid Mann and countrywide/ their linked companies like the plague if they think this is acceptable.- 14th Apr 2026 (2 days ago)For both past and present moves I have used Alan de Maid. She chased the Insurance Company vendors daily to progress what was a drawn out and complicated purchase. She kept us up to date with any developments, and without her help we would have given up and walked away. I would not hesitate to recommend her. Many thanks.

She had great control over the chain and ensured that everything was moving along swiftly and always kept me updated. This was a particularly stressful transaction and I have much appreciation for the efforts Paddi put in to getting this over the line, as without her, I’m not sure it would have happened! 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
23rd Mar 2026 (24 days ago)I recently sold my property through Wisdom Estate Agents and couldn’t be happier with the experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their home. Matt handled the viewings and was outstanding throughout the entire process. I had actually made and had an offer accepted on a new house before finding a buyer for my own property, which could have been quite stressful. However, Wisdom Estate Agents took a very proactive approach to selling my home and were still able to secure a buyer in time to keep the chain moving smoothly. Matt kept me consistently updated on viewings, offers, and the progression of the sale, making everything feel well-managed and under control. His communication and dedication truly set him apart—easily the best agent I’ve worked with, and someone who genuinely puts the customer first. Rob was also fantastic—he took excellent photos for the listing and kept me updated throughout as well. Both of them made what can often be a stressful process feel straightforward and positive. Overall, the level of customer service from Wisdom Estate Agents is exceptional—far quicker, more responsive, and more personal than what I’ve experienced with larger commercial estate agents. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Mark feels more like a trusted friend than an agent, a true confidante throughout the process. James was exceptional too, completely across every detail, all under Mark’s thoughtful stewardship. A refreshing, reassuring experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend whether you are selling or buying.
