17th Mar 2026 (4 days ago)Their communication was very poor throughout. Even on the day of completion, after they had handed the keys to the buyer, we had no call letting us know. Finally had to call in and was told the sale was complete. Ben was the prime agent throughout. Surprised by the other glowing reviews, this was certainly not our experience.
6th Mar 2026 (15 days ago)We sold our house through Fine & Country. Liz Teasdale and Nicola Lorraine held our hands every step of the way. They promptly answered any queries we had, were reassuring when the process was at its most pedantic and calmed us down when we were stressed. From the superb photos taken at the start, all the way through the whole process Nicola and Liz were professional and attentive and we cannot recommend them highly enough. They might be slightly more expensive than other Estate Agents but they were worth every penny. So glad we used Liz and Nicola.
18th Mar 2026 (3 days ago)We tried to rent a house together as brothers, and despite making it clear we are family — not unrelated sharers — the letting agent refused to take our details or consider us as joint tenants, saying they don’t allow sharers. It’s misleading and unprofessional to treat two siblings as “sharers” when UK housing definitions generally consider family members living together as one household. This left us confused and unable to progress our rental search. The agent gave no clear, lawful reason — just repeated refusal to engage properly. If you’re a family looking for a place together, be aware that this agency may misapply its own policies and potentially misinterpret basic housing law. I do not recommend them based on this experience.- 16th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)I have dealt with Evie with my last 2 properties now and she’s been amazing! I had a terrible time with this office! I'd advise against it, if you don't want to end up with headaches and ignorance.

11th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)Our experience selling with them was more than disappointing from start to finish. They are rude, condescending and bad professionals to the point that I was tempted more than once to pull off in order to avoid them getting any money from me. Tom tried once to convince me in the rudest way, as if I didn’t understand plain English, that I had to hire an architect and spend thousands of pounds in order to get the second floor of my property regularised when the property was build that way in 1853. One call from me to Building Control and the issue was solved. On one occasion Tom called saying the buyers wanted to come on the next day to take measures of the place. We accepted. On the day of the visit nobody came and no one contacted us. When we called to the office Tom was on his day off and David said “let me see what happened and I’ll come back to you”. We didn’t have any news back. Weeks after, when I met the buyers in person, I learned that they never requested the visit in first place. I could relate many other negative experiences to illustrate how incompetent and bad professional Tom is, but I will just summarise by saying that I would stay away from them at all costs.Your Move - Hobin Roberts - Northampton

They were friendly, helpful, and professional while giving the whole process a human touch. Would recommend. Thanks to Luke, Aiden, Kirsty, and Sophia for helping us find our new home!

Considering we were with another estate agents before them, we have never known an estate agent to get back to us so quickly. From the start they have kept communication with us, they have dealt with any little issues super quickly. They were polite and understanding. They ensured our move was smooth and easy and communicated effectively throughout. They have checked in with us already too which is lovely. We have a direct person to communicate any issues with, which is so helpful. At previous estate agents, we had to wait on responses and things would get passed to a different person and we wouldn’t know who to ask for. Charlton brown have been so great, thank you for such an easy transition.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Even when the first sale fell through for reasons out of their control the house was back on the market the same day and had a new offer the next day. They've chased everyone through the whole process. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Rude ,unprofessional and not capable of providing the service they claim .Avoid at all costs .When you are paying someone a lot of money to do a job you expect it done properly .These people lie through their teeth ,lack basic understanding of the construction issues involved in housing and use contractors who charge huge amounts for shoddy workmanship ..I have pictures of a boiler that was supposed to have been serviced every year which was a hazard. Disgusting dangerous .They're lucky they didn't wind up in court for what they did .Absolutely rip off merchant's- 24th Oct 2025 (21 weeks ago)We contacted O'Riordan Bond kingsthorpe brach to sell our home after having used two other estate agents beforehand. Their communication was fantastic, the whole process was smooth and easy, they went above and beyond to assist us with any queries, they were friendly, honest and quite frankly, excellent all round. We will be returning when the time comes to sell our next home and to purchase another. I cannot thank you all enough.
