25th Aug 2024 (15 days ago)Repeatedly excellent service when selling or buying property. David and Jamie are both brilliant, get things done and always come back to you very quickly. Not pushy at all, just honest and fair with their valuations, communication and general dealings. I've used them a few times and the experience has always been the same. They're a breath of fresh air, some of the other agents I had to value were outright lying or playing pretty underhand tactics to try and get me to sell with them. Jamie, on the other hand, just came for a chat - all up front, the good, the bad, the ugly and the easily repairable, all was laid on the table. I'll be using them again when I next get the chance

18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Lewis knew exactly what I need at the first meeting, shortly we viewed the right house for me. He is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and communicated very clearly. He answered all my questions, and made time to view the property again. Everybody says that buying a house is stressful, but in my situation I can say it was an easy, enjoyable process, which took 8 weeks from the first viewing to completion. Lewis is a great asset to the team, I am very grateful to all of them for helping me buy my dream home! I would highly recommend OB!

The stuff working there in the letting department are very very rude especially the manager. We been left with no heating or hot water for 3 days and we have a child, everytime when called been told we are not the only ones and they have a lot more rented houses to take care of. Only when I told her that I will contact the council she send someone to fix it straight away. She always very rude on the phone, I am not sure how she even have a position like this. I would avoid this agency!!!

Alan sold our house for us and went above and beyond. I've never experienced such fantastic communication and compassion when selling a property. Alan was completely invested in selling our property and throughout the whole process went above and beyond with keeping us updated and following up on matters. The most important thing for me was that I found Lucy Alan to be entirely honest. Their investment in the sale of our property was so incredibly refreshing and I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell. A massive thank you from 2 very happy customers!
