19th Mar 2026 (2 days ago)I did not have a good experience with this estate agent and I wouldn’t recommend them. They made lots of mistakes when writing about property and communication was terrible. I ended up getting very stressed out with them.

Toni was nothing short of amazing,fast, efficient, supportive, and always on top of everything. She made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free, and we are so grateful for her dedication and hard work! A big thank you as well to Adam Brittain, Senior Property Advisor, whose knowledge, guidance, and professionalism made such a difference. He was always helpful and reassuring throughout the journey. And of course, Freya Tilbury, Trainee Property Advisor,our very first point of contact! Freya was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful from the moment we stepped in to view the property. She set the tone for what turned out to be an amazing experience with this team. Truly an exceptional group of people who go above and beyond! Very thorough during the process which she went through in every detail with viewings from interested people to taking photos to advertising my property online and negotiating the best price. I was impressed with all the effort Adele went to and she spent time explaining everything to me unlike other Estate Agents I spoke to. I would recommend these Estate Agents to any seller or buyer.
6th Mar 2026 (15 days ago)We recently sold two properties through Chalk Street Estates- overall had a very positive experience and would recommend this firm to anyone looking to market properties or purchase. The marketing of both properties was excellent. The photography was particularly impressive — very professional, with bright and clear images that really showcased the properties far better than many other listings we saw from different agents. Their pricing was also competitive and reasonable, which gave us confidence in choosing them to market our homes. Throughout the process, the team communicated well regarding viewing requests and follow-ups, keeping us informed at each stage. Unfortunately, there were some aspects outside of their control — particularly issues arising from the mortgage surveyor — which ultimately impacted the final agreed sale prices, bringing them below the initial valuations. Despite this, the team at Chalk Street worked hard to communicate with the rest of the chain and help reach an agreement. We found difficult conversations were handled professionally and very efficiently in what was at the time of our sales a buyers market. We also had an issue with the initial offer being reduced and had to relist the property, but this was handled efficiently and we secured a new offer within a week. Our offers were originally agreed around October, with initial viewings supported by Faye and later managed by Jack. We are very greatful to Jack- selling 2 properties is extremely challenging and Jack was nothing short of a miracle worker when it came to securing offers for both homes at the same time. A true credit to Chalk Street. As we moved closer to completion, Mandy became our main point of contact (around January, roughly eight weeks before completion). We had an incredibly challenging chain, but Mandy worked tirelessly behind the scenes, cross-communicating with all parties involved to help push things forward and encourage completion. We feel this was crucial to supporting completion with multiple agencies, solicitors and buyers involved- this we feel makes Chalk Street a stand out in their field. When we were purchasing our home 5 years ago we did the chasing with solicitors, Mandys involvement really eliminated the stress of it all. We are now in our dream home and cannot thank the team’s professionalism, persistence, and dedication during what turned out to be a complex sale process. If you are looking to sell or buy, they wont let you down :)

15th Mar 2026 (6 days ago)Appalling ethics on selling a property we wanted to purchase...we stuck with this company for 5 months only for them to advise the sellers to relist due to not wanting to wait 6-8 weeks more on us getting a lease extension sorted on our property after all the fees we had paid out and comprising we'd done the sellers chose to take another offer from first time buyers....we all was 99% there so as said very poor guidence ethics would never trust this estate agents ever again...disgusting time wasters to be quite honest...... Les....let's be very clear here...was NOT 4 to 5 months it would have been 6 to 8 weeks and possibly as little as 15 days we was prepared to pay for a fast track on this extension..this wasn't a deed of variation was just a lease extension and fees were agreed from our part so maybe your a little confused...but to be fair your just an estate agent..so clearly the information wasn't put forward to the sellers clearly enough...so we dont blame them at all for mis information given to them..but starting a new contract which clearly will take longer then 6 to 8 weeks probably more(4 to 6 months again)doesn't in my view seem sensible giving that they are worried about paying bills going forward..understand someone is a family friend at your letting agency and would like to think this wasn't due to a higher offer that made this decision...anyhow very bad practice is the only way I seem this has played out... Let's just put this down to miss information and draw a line under it... Not angry not upset just disappointed as we was all so close..... ..... Thankyou les I appreciate that...I guess things in life happen for a reason... Unfortunately the time frame that was needed/expected was out of our hands...same to you all the best ??????
28th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)The team were very helpful & put my mind at ease while selling.- 5th Mar 2026 (16 days ago)I recently sold my house with colubrid and cannot fault them , my house was sold within 2 weeks. We had around 30 viewings in the first week with several offers. I was kept up to date at every stage, we had a buyer pull out and the next day they had another buyer at the same offer ready to go. Special mention to Joshua who did the valuation , he made me feel at ease straight away and I trusted he could sell the house quickly. The whole team are really friendly and easy to get in touch with.
