We use Acorn to let our property in Forest Hill on a fully managed basis, we have properties with other agents around the country, but can honestly say that the service we receive from the staff at Acorn is the best. Helpful and timely; we would recommend Acorn's letting services to prospective landlords.
Literally the most incompetent estate agents I've ever dealt with. They gave us the wrong keys on the day we moved in. If you can't get that right, there really is no help.
KFH in forest hill are simply excellent and I highly recommend them. The sales team is outstanding with high praise going to Kyle! The team go the extra mile and gave me a lot of confidence during the while process.
Javaid was very helpful in assisting me on my property search.
I have just sold my flat using Stanford Estates & couldn't recommend them more highly. I really wanted a local agent who was able to provide a more personal service than a large chain estate agent where everything feels less personal, and I am so glad I chose Stanford Estates. Ben carried out the valuation and was extremely knowledgeable about the local and national property market. The team arranged a really good number of viewings within the first week, and gave great feedback following each appointment. They were also very considerate of my tenants, which was very much appreciated. Malcolm was really excellent, and made the whole process so much less stressful than it could have been. Stanford Estates were my first choice, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. I would use them again without hesitation. Their honest, hardworking and straightforward approach was a refreshing change to a lot of the alternatives in the area. Thank you again Ben, Malcolm & team!
I have never used an estate agent, agency or indeed property management company that have pushed charges of such high value on to me, as the tenant; charges often buried within contractual clauses, both at move-in, during the tenancy and at move-out.
At move-in we put down a £200 deposit to secure the property and take it off the market; standard practice which I am used to, however that deposit then transformed in wording upon acceptance of the contract to a non-refundable fee. This was not taken off the initial months rent or security deposit, this was an additional charge.
A renewal fee of £300 was charged when we decided to stay in the property for another year.
At move-out we are now covering the costs of a check-out agency which Robert Stanfords hire, costing us £144.
Based on my previous experience in renting property, these fees are inflated and often never passed on to the tenant. I don't doubt the legality of the charges, I do however doubt the moral fabric and decency of applying them.
