2nd Jul 2024 (25 days ago)Awful experience. Arranged a viewing for a flat to purchase, left work earlier and once I got there, the agent did not have the keys to the flat and kept knocking on the door for 10 mins, hoping for someone to open the door. Eventually a neighbour came out informing us, the tenant was at work. I had to leave without viewing the property. Very disorganised - I would never use them again. Never received a call nor an email with an apology. No respect for customers' time.
23rd Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Being an estate agent myself I chose this estate agent to sell my cousins property in Clapham as they were both knowledgable and professional. It sold within two weeks of marketing and has now exchanged. It’s a leasehold property which as I know can take a lot longer than freehold but from start to finish it was 9 weeks. Special thanks to Aaron and also Julie the Sales Progressor who I’m sure I chased a lot in the past two weeks and she was patient and professional. Thank you everyone and I have one happy cousin. Many thanks.

13th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)I have been looking to rent a flat in South East London. I registered with Galloways because I knew they were a local independent agent with good knowledge of the area. Aston arranged a viewing on a flat in Penge. He let me take my time to walk around the flat and take photos. He was also very patient in answering my many questions. Penge is not an area I know well, so Aston thoughtfully suggested if I wanted to get a coffee there is a cafe and garden centre in the area, he showed me on the map and even walked me in that direction. This was such a thoughtful and helpful thing to do, and helped me to get more familiar with what is available in the area. Very different to some agents who seem to be in a rush to get to their next appointment and dont have time to answer all my questions. I have already recommended Galloways to a friend who might be looking to sell her house and buy something else in the area.

5th May 2024 (12 weeks ago)Capital Estate Agents Bromley are undoubtedly the best estate agents we've ever worked with. While we were in South Africa, my wife and I had everything sorted—work contracts, visas, finances—everything a landlord could hope for. However, as soon as estate agents heard we were moving from overseas, they would end the call. Out of 30 people we contacted, only Capital Estate Agents Bromley, specifically Ryan, took the time to speak with us. We recently had a second viewing with Derek, which was handled very professionally. They always dress impeccably and speak well-pronounced English, which is quite rare these days.

Camilla Akehurst immediately set herself apart from the other estate agents I’ve interacted with when she showed me around the flat I eventually bought; she was helpful and honest. Lewis then helpfully steered us towards completion and was very responsive and informative. Fully recommend!

Hunters demonstrated a thorough understanding of the local rental market and worked tirelessly to find reliable tenants for my property. They took the time to understand my requirements and preferences, ensuring that the tenant selection process aligned with my expectations. Throughout the tenancy period, Sarah provided excellent ongoing support, promptly addressing any maintenance issues and ensuring that my property was well-maintained. 18th Jul 2024 (9 days ago)The agency was very good at bringing in viewings, we originally used a small independent agency and noticed a huge difference in viewing numbers. What I didn’t like was that they told me they could definitely sell my property for X amount when we signed up with them, then immediately wanted to reduce the price and told me ‘let’s be honest you were never going to get X your property is worth Y (lower amount). Very rude and dishonest people. Ultimately we sold it but felt very hard balled into accepting an offer when we felt perhaps we could’ve got more.

4th Jun 2024 (8 weeks ago)Mayfords claim to represent landlords, but it's a lie. The service I've received from them is absolutely appalling. Since December 2023, I have reported a leak from the roof, which has caused a hole in my ceiling. It is now the 29th of June 2024, and they have done absolutely nothing to fix it. They are completely unprofessional and inefficient. I'm talking about Reuben Charles and a certain Christine.They probably spend more time browsing Facebook or on OnlyFans rather than fixing problems around the estate, which is an absolute disaster. Everything is falling apart: the communal door doesn't close, the walls are a disgusting yellow color, the carpet is filthy, and the communal bins are uncovered, giving foxes free access. Every morning, we have to step over a pile of garbage with our kids to exit the estate. Landlords, stay away from Mayfords. They will rip you off. You won't get anything back, and they will surely take your money.

Initially Jonathan was more positive, credible and knowledgeable about the immediate sales market that the two competitors that I met. When there were some bumps in the road his level headed advice helped to turn things around and get to a positive solution. Really great quality and professional agents!
