4th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)Richard James and the whole team at Rager & Roberts were always professional and kept me updated throughout the whole sales process. Any estate agent can list your property for sale on Rightmove etc. and attend viewings but it was from the sale negotiation process to completion where Rager & Roberts really excelled.

1st Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Left feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. Throughout our entire process of having our house on the market for 6 months, me and my wife have been left completely alone in the majority of the process to chase up viewers, answer queries and have been the constant go between to solicitors/house developer. It appears quite clearly there is either a lack of communication between the staff or just simply a complete lack of interest or effort when it comes to helping us sell our home. The only time Ian picked up the phone to contact us throughout the entire process was to rush us into our next home that wasn’t even built yet or force us into rented accommodation, which from our first meeting with him we made clear was a non-negotiable due to understandable work/family arrangements. Whenever someone went on annual leave or was off work, there was no clear handover and our viewings/queries got completely shoved to the bottom of the pile and we AGAIN had to chase things up which often resulted in speaking to a confused member of staff who had no idea what we were talking about. The large majority of our viewings we have had have been people who haven’t had any agreement in principles with their bank and so we have spent all this time and effort making our home look at the best condition possible for a viewing, just for a few days later to have a half-arsed response from YourMove telling us they couldn’t afford it anyway. This is something since going on with another, much better estate agent we have realised should’ve been discussed in the first phone call with a potential viewer. Me and my wife are fully aware of the situation of the market right now and understand the difficulty (more than ever) in selling a home, however I 100% believe this would’ve been achieved with more clear communication and effort made from the estate agents. I am never someone to write negative reviews, however because we have completely wasted 6 months of our time, effort and emotions on doing 99% of the leg work ourselves, I really don’t want anyone else to have to go through what we have.

19th Mar 2024 (4 weeks ago)Cubitt & West Peacehaven recently sold our property after it had spent more than a year with two other agents (in what has been, admittedly, a difficult time in the housing market). Our thanks to David Knox, the branch manager, who was always very helpful and personable, as well as Garry Wheeler, the sales progressor, who did a great job in keeping us well informed all the way towards exchanging - top marks to both. Also thanks to Godfrey Haire, our first contact with the company, who gave us the faith to keep going and give C&W a try.
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Their prompt response to issues, and attention to detail ensured a seamless & pleasant living experience. The team's professionalism and personalized care fostered trust and reliability, making them stand out in estate management. Regular property inspections and proactive maintenance measures maintained a high standard of living throughout my tenure led by Gyan. Teams expertise and empathy further strengthened the landlord-tenant relationship. In retrospect, I wholeheartedly recommend R Whitley & Co for their enduring commitment to excellence in estate.
26th Mar 2024 (24 days ago)We haven't let the property out yet but have signed up with Kearns Residential ready for them to market and fully manage the letting in May this year. However, I just wanted to say thank you to Emily Thompson who has been my contact with your company. From the first moment we spoke on the phone I could tell she was going to be brilliant. And she is. We subsequently met at the property where she went through everything with me in a most professional, knowledgeable and friendly manner. She has excellent customer service skills and is a very good and understanding listener.I felt completely reassured about the process and the service I would be receiving from Kearns. Emily is an absolute asset to your company and it is due to her that I haven't even bothered to look elsewhere for a suitable lettings agent. Her communications were exactly as promised, and our negotiations reached an acceptable conclusion for both parties in a most agreeable and timely fashion. I am looking forward to a positive and fruitful working relationship with Emily and Kearns Residential and have every confidence in the fully managed letting service we have signed up to.

27th Mar 2024 (23 days ago)Eightfold is poorly run, with a lack of honesty, integrity and an incredible lack of any concern and respect for their tenants. Eightfold represent all the worst traits of lettings agents. I'm amazed this company get any good reviews at all. Not surprising that most of the good reviews are from landlords and ALL the bad ones from tenants. If you are a tenant, my advice would be to steer well clear of this revolting company if at all possible.
