11th Apr 2024 (2 years ago)Martin was absolutely brilliant from start to finish of our house sale. He consistently went above and beyond to chase the buyer and her solicitor and kept us in the loop throughout the process. It was a real pleasure working with him and we really recommend Fyfe Mcdade.

I know sellers back out sometimes but they handled it awfully, we had to learn it from our onwards, they gave no, explanation or advice and showed zero sympathy. They left us off the market for months and we missed several equiries and lost our onwards due to their ineptitude. To make matters worse they were almost double the price of other agents.
9th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)AVOID! both as a tenant and as a landlord. I'm a tenant in a property under their portfolio, I'm facing severe lack of communication and total lack of integrity. I'm in the unfortunate situation of desperately needing to move out early due to personal health reasons. I can't move out until Maskells finds a replacement tenant. Their approach has been to try and profit from the situation, which I personally find morally wrong. Rather than trying to replace me, they are putting an out of the market price to try and squeeze extra pounds of commission without any risk, as the property is not vacant. Communication related to the process has also been lacking and not transparent. Tenants: you are better off with some other agencies. Landlords: find someone with integrity to manage your properties.

26th Apr 2026 (9 days ago)Dhruv Rupapara and Zac Summerhayes were the agents who worked on the sale. They were easy and pleasant to work with and had a good understanding of the market. They sold my flat faster than I expected, were transparent and informative all through the process, answering all my questions with patience and good humour. I would recommend Winkworth Islington and both the agents without hesitation.- 7th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)A really good team who made me feel at home. I went out of the way to make sure I was happy with everything couldn’t have chosen nicer people to deal with.

10th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Poor service - initial queries were ignored and and I was stood up once I’d finally arranged a viewing, as the agent hadn’t bothered to let me know that the let to the property was already agreed. Do not waste your time on them.

12th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)I am writing this behalf of my uncle because he doesn’t speak English last year he rented a flat from these people they all so speak Turkish so my uncle paid them admission fees which by law they don’t have the right to ask him for admission fees but they did why because my uncle doesn’t speak English and he’s only been in uk for one and half years and then they asked him for weeks rent 2 months deposit again buy law they can only ask 4 week’s and when he left the flat they only give his one moths rent back said to him we only had one month deposit of yours horrible people
19th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)Everytime I enquire about a property for sell this agent is advertising. The first question they ask is 'Do you have a property for sell'. They take all your personal details and at the end don't give a date for viewing. This happened on several occasions, I have now stopped enquiring. I believe this is a fishing tactic to get peoples information and if they can find a person who is looking to sell. 20th Apr 2026 (15 days ago)Amazing, kind and warm, stayed on top of all the maintenance issues during the tenancy and released my full security deposit in no time after the tenancy (even after some minor wear and tear in the walls due to hanging pictures and having the bed frame hanging against the wall) I'm very appreciated!!

Going into the process, we had very little understanding of how renting works here, which could have been quite overwhelming but Colin made the entire experience feel seamless. I can’t thank him enough for his constant support, quick communication, and the patience with which he answered our many (often basic!) questions as first-time renters. He went above and beyond what we expected, not just helping us secure the property, but also guiding us through the finer details that aren’t always obvious. It truly felt like he had our best interests in mind throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we would highly recommend Heywoods (especially Colin) to anyone navigating the rental market for the first time.

His agency stands out from the rest due to his highly personal service; we spoke with or saw only him so felt super confident he was fully engaged and invested in our sale at all times. His comms were also excellent, as were his problem-solving skills and professional partners. The photography was outstanding, with much thought taken in both the planning and execution. Highly recommended!

4th Dec 2025 (22 weeks ago)BE CAREFUL! As a tenant this company are a nightmare, they don't care for you at all. So slow to respond to queries, unprofessional and misleading. When we first moved in the flat was in a complete mess - dust, grit, mould, hair and even used underwear hiding underneath the kitchen sink. They insisted a professional clean had taken place which was obviously a lie, on moving out of the property we cleaned to professional standard and have been footed with a large bill, including random over-priced costs. Several problems with our property during our stay which they were slow to respond to including the balcony having a massive and dangerous hole in it which caused leaks into the downstairs neighbour, and meant we couldn't use during the hot weather, they were so slow to get someone in for this and when they did he did a bodge job that will rot in a couple years time, made a complete mess of our flat and the communal area in the process. Never responded to our requests to fix the window that had rotted. Unorganised - when showing the properties to other tenants they had the wrong keys with them so I came round to let them in, also didn't communicate clearly on when viewings were cancelled so had me waiting at home when nobody arrived. It's so common to have useless agencies, but we now are with a lovely company who really care for us, are quick and reasonable - it does exist!
10th Jan 2026 (16 weeks ago)Fantastic letting agency, specialising in very special homes along the river - really great service from beginning to end with Leanna, going above and beyond over the Christmas break (despite the agency being closed!) to help us get through the referencing process and get moved in within a couple of weeks. Thank you so much, highly recommended (and I’ve met with a lot of lettings agents and had some very mixed experiences so that doesn’t come lightly!).
8th Dec 2023 (2 years ago)My experience of Guru’s sales team is good. However, the property management team is very rude and would not help the tenants solve the problems after you rent the property. They only asked the tenants for money.

Jack was so patient with all the delays, chased the solicitors and buyers when we were losing the will, and kept us sane. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without him. Really appreciate everything!
29th Jul 2025 (9 mo. ago)Viewed a house that was advertised £450k to £500k. At the property viewing, the agent said vendor will not consider anything below £485k. Very unprofessional. Wasted my time.
