I was informed in writing that the refund had been approved and passed to the accounting team, yet no payment was made and no replies were received despite several follow?ups. The lack of responsiveness after tenancy termination and the difficulty in tracking the deposit created unnecessary stress. Tenants should be cautious and be prepared to chase persistently for deposit refunds.

From the beginning, she was professional, responsive, and very helpful throughout the entire process. Amber provided clear information, answered all my questions promptly, and made the viewing and paperwork process smooth and stress-free. I really appreciated her communication and support, which made everything much easier for me. 18th Apr 2026 (17 days ago)We have recently sold our late parents house with Buckley Brown. It was a very stressful and emotional time but the team at Buckley Brown helped us through it. They guided us through the whole journey with kindness and patience. We had weekly phone updates throughout the process. They definitely took the pressure away from us. We trusted them with keys and alarm codes to the property for viewing purposes and they always left the property secure. Debbie from the sales progression team was extremely helpful and I looked forward to her friendly chats. Many thanks.

6th Feb 2026 (13 weeks ago)Phoned up to enquire on a property they had advised for sale met with a complete lack of interest from the staff member who was not only rude but dismissive, fortunately the house is advertised with another agent where we have been able to since view the property with no hassle! If you are thinking of selling or looking to buy completely avoid these bunch of clowns.- 20th Apr 2026 (15 days ago)I had Laura Sheekey out to value my property, she was incredibly understanding about my situation and really listened. The team were fantastic, Melissa Knighton got our property sold on the first viewing! Never expected that! Cannot thank them enough and would highly recommend this estate agency.
21st Apr 2026 (14 days ago)Absolutely 5 star service - The most competent, responsive, and genuine estate agents - from the initial valuation with Roo who advised us how to realise our properties unique potential to the whole sales process handled by Michelle for whom a particularly special recommendation should be made : her expert, professional yet friendly and approachable handling of one of the most stressful processes we have ever been through.

21st Apr 2026 (14 days ago)I have had multiple experience with the staff here and can honestly say that I would not go anywhere else. The staff are very professional, provide a great service and are very helpful and polite. Having both purchased and sold with whitegates and experienced superb service each time I though it was only fair that I shout about it so that others will know how good they really are. I only ever recommend them (and yes I have tried others in the past, my worst experience being with a company that has an X in there name). Whitegates however have and are always spot on, you wont go wrong using them. Thank you to everyone there for the years of amazing service.

Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was handled with great care and professionalism. Nothing had been too much, and they have made it all as straightforward as possible. I’d like to put in an individual review for Rhonda. Having only been in the job for less than 4 months when I first met her, she proved herself to be a thoroughly class act in her role. I would recommend her for a pay rise or/and a promotion. Thanks guys
9th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)A speedy and professional job by Rod, Aaron and all the staff I dealt with Alexander Jacob. I'll try to keep this short; I had a small property for sale in Retford which had been rented for a while with another estate agent in town and I asked what they thought I could get on a sale and after an extensive discussion they suggested it be marketed at £80k and wouldn't budge on it. I was never going to accept this and a third party(thank you Shane!) suggested I speak with Rod, he told me £100k would be easily achievable and indicated a little work be done, which came to less than £1k and was arranged by AJ, and I sold for £110k. I'm not suggesting that this will be everyone's experience but Alexander Jacob clearly have a far, far better grip on how the local market is trending than some other estate agents in town.
18th Jul 2024 (1 year ago)Wanted details on the Southwell Prebend house after a while I received it requested further information and a guidance on price and a viewing no reply a very well known Southwell resident who I visit discussed it with me ,I wasn't saying I was going to buy it but it would have helped if I was at the very least been given further information . Any how I gave up!! As far as I'm aware unless an agreement has been made which hasn't it should be open for a viewing.
