18th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)I had a great experience selling my property with Sewell & Gardner. I was particularly impressed with the marketing – the photography, virtual tour, drone shots and brochure were excellent and really brought the property to life. The whole process of getting the property listed was also very smooth and easy to manage online.
The sale itself ended up being a long and sometimes challenging process, but Jackie, Harry and the rest of the team were consistently helpful, responsive and proactive throughout. Harry in particular was great at keeping me updated and pushing things forward right until completion.
Really grateful for all their help and very happy to have got the sale over the line. I’d happily recommend the team.

28th Oct 2026 (9 days ago)I cannot speak highly enough of Rory Willmott and the team at Statons, who have just successfully completed the £1 million sale of Holly Lodge.
This was far from a straightforward transaction. A lengthy and complicated chain, coupled with a declining property market during the sales process, presented numerous challenges that required patience, determination and exceptional management.
Throughout it all, Rory was outstanding. His professionalism, perseverance, communication and ability to keep everything moving forward, even when circumstances became particularly challenging, were genuinely impressive.
Living in California throughout the entire process meant that I was relying heavily on Rory to manage matters on the ground in the UK. He consistently went above and beyond, keeping me informed, offering sound advice and dealing with the inevitable complications calmly and effectively.
Selling a family property is never purely a financial transaction, and Rory understood the personal significance of the sale as well as the practical challenges involved.
Ultimately, it was Rory's commitment, persistence and attention to detail that helped bring this difficult transaction to a successful conclusion.
My sincere thanks to Rory and everyone at Statons for their exceptional service. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated and highly professional estate agent.
11th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)Very disappointing experience. After five years, I expected honesty, professionalism and clear communication. Instead, I received contradictory information about our money and experienced unacceptable treatment over the phone. Sadly, I cannot recommend this company.
28th Oct 2026 (9 days ago)Despite my experience took place 8 years ago, I will keep posting it to let other people know the truth of how they organise business here. Their response was false, I have not received any legal action against me as they know this has happened. The police had informed the person not to contact me via any channels.
The people in charge called my number after he clearly addressed in email that all my personal info has been deleted from their server. He threatened me to delete Google review through two phone calls by saying “ your are a xxx( my job title) at xxx( my work place address), I know where you live. “like a gang. I was forced to report his threaten to The Metropolitan Police, and I have been asked by the police to call 999 immediately if he calls me again or show up at either my property or work place.
Terrible attitude towards customers. One of them made an aggressive phone call and forced us to make a choice. He threatened not to provide any services to us after being refused. First time in my life. Awful experience!!!

Alex has also been very helpful throughout the process and property viewings. Thank you both for all your help and support!

Text message after text message from them about Karma, and how spiritual and honest they are. While refusing to give me invoices for building works they had managed, and overcharged me for! As I am asking them to negotiate the cost of the roof, they have gone ahead, and started installing the roof! Roofers who replaced roof, threw all the concrete debris into the top floor attic room, through roof opening to save money on a second tip! Only found out after roof had been replaced.

Their systems are really user friendly and very helpful to have a dashboard with all the information in one place.

13th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Sonia Estates could not wait longer than two weeks after my husband’s passing to start their plot to scam me. Informed me that minor repairs needed to rent after the contract expired. No deposit money given to me as they retained it! They ran up 8000 pounds( 12,000 pounds is what they demanded initially) worth of non existent repairs without my permission.
When I disputed it, they secretly rented out my home and had no intention of informing me about it, nor of paying me rent!!
They also had the secret idea of letting the home out to Capital Living who would charge us a commission, and Sonia would very kindly keep collecting another 7 percent commission too! This was only revealed to me after months of questioning Sonia Estates.
They then threw away all of my furniture and asked me for an additional 15,000 pounds to furnish it again! So, they tried to make almost 27,000 pounds from the death of my husband!
Sonia Estaes lied to the Ombudsman who accepted their lies that all of the above arrangements were agreed upon by me over a phony phone call! Even though I won the case, they were asked to pay me only 150 pounds!
They now keep getting my Google review deleted!

We bought and sold through Robsons and I highly recommend using them if you are ever thinking of buying / selling your property.

He attended all of our viewings across multiple properties and was always incredibly helpful in getting answers to all of our questions. Whenever we wanted to arrange another viewing, Joshua was prompt and accommodating, making the whole process feel as easy and stress-free as possible.
He was always a pleasure to speak to, incredibly patient and never once made us feel rushed or pressured. His friendly and professional approach really made a difference during what can otherwise be quite a stressful process.

I had a very long and complicated chain which took some managing to get it all lined up within the timescales we had due to mortgage offers expiring etc. But with a couple of bumps in the road and lot of perseverance, we finally got there.
He kept me updated throughout, answered any questions I had, and was always friendly and professional.
Moving is one of the most stressful life events, but I felt like I was in good hands and nothing was ever too much trouble. I really appreciate all his help and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent a property.
If you are looking for a family run business without feeling like just another sale, then you will not go wrong with Tyler at Layco.

From the initial viewing all the way to completion, everything was wrapped up in under two months, and I was able to move in exactly within my desired timescale. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

What a great team led by Hussein Madarbakus, who happened to be the agent who sold me my flat 10 years ago so i didn't hesitate to go to him to sell it recently. Daniel McHenry was put in charge of my flat sale and he was very professional, always available and showed up for me 200%. I am not very trusting of estate agents, but this is a team you can trust !
