As first-time buyers, the whole mortgage process felt quite overwhelming, especially after having a disappointing experience with another mortgage advisor. From the moment we started working with Tom, everything changed.<br><br>He was professional, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure we understood every step of the process. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he was always on hand to answer our questions and put our minds at ease.<br><br>We'd also like to give a special thank you to Emily, who was acting on behalf of the sellers. She was brilliant throughout the process, keeping us updated, helping to keep everything moving, and always being friendly and approachable. He is very perceptive at matching landlords with tenants. Through Peter keeping who we are and what we were hoping for in mind he found us our dream place after just one previous viewing. By this point we'd had viewings with various other local estate agents and we can state categorically that Peter is of a calibre that you'd hope to find but rarely do. Professional, genuine and delivers.<br>Furthermore our experience so far of the general services of the agency has been professional and congenial and we would gladly recommend.

They followed up after our viewing and even though technically we weren’t their clients, they were always helpful and friendly. If I was to put our house on the market they would definitely be on top of the list of agencies I’d consider going with.

We also appreciated the Flexible Option, which gave us the freedom to decide later in the sales process who would pay the fees.
17th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)We viewed a property with Rachel and she was lovely. Her service at the viewing was fantastic.<br><br>However, my experience with Felicity was not so positive. I called following the viewing to be told the house had received an offer at the viewing. Yep, that’s cool, it happens and the nature of the beast. I asked to receive a call back and never received a call back, despite being in the market. The following week the house had come online on Rightmove. I called and spoke to felicity again… she explained the house had gone on to “show as sold on RM”, again, that’s cool, it happens. However, my bugbear was that she couldn’t wait to get me off the phone. Whilst trying to talk, I was in receipt of; “ok thank you, Goodbye”, as sales tactic to shut down a call. She told me the house went for “quite over the asking price”. I joked in asking “what for” (knowing she couldn’t tell me the number), however, her response was just to push me off the phone. I work in sales and understand the when someone’s trying to get you off the phone. I called at 4pm today (Friday 17th), so maybe you don’t want to deal with me on a Friday evening. However, having worked in sales for 16 years, I may not be worth money to you right now, however, I could be worth money to you tomorrow. Networking and customer care is key. Trying to force someone off the phone is poor form. Despite being a potential buyer at some stage, there was no customer aftercare, no asking what else I’d like. Zero, nothing. I’ve spoken to numerous agents and all of them have asked what I’m looking for, or tried to discuss another property with me. Felicity couldn’t care. She may have had a bad day at the office, but that’s no excuse.<br><br>From my experience with Rachel, I’d buy from Rachel, she was great. However, my experience with Felicity, I’d not buy from Felicity, her customer service was abysmal, it felt like she was not interested at all, maybe because we’re not buying right this second.

30th Jul 2026 (5 days ago)We recently purchased our new home through WR Estate Agents and overall we've had a really positive experience.<br><br>Jenny showed us around the property on both of our viewings and was absolutely lovely. She was approachable, knowledgeable and never made us feel rushed, which made a real difference when making such a big decision.<br><br>One thing we particularly appreciated was the WhatsApp group that was set up to keep everyone connected throughout the purchase. It made communication quick and easy and was really helpful to keep things moving.<br><br>There were a few occasions during the process where we were asked questions or for information that we weren't really in a position to answer, which sometimes left us feeling a little unsure of how best to help. A little more coordination behind the scenes would have made the process feel even smoother.<br><br>What has really stood out, though, is the support we've received since completing the purchase. We've had a few queries about the house and Scott has been absolutely outstanding. Even though the sale had completed, he has continued to help us get answers and resolve issues quickly and nothing has seemed too much trouble. That level of after-sales service has been genuinely appreciated.<br><br>Thank you to Jenny, Scott and the team for helping us into our new home. We'd happily recommend WR Estate Agents.

I have bought 3 Hands off investments and had great experience rents paid on time & no headache as they promised me. I get amazing rents that I didn’t know were even possible. I have also used them for selling & they were fabulous ! Recommended the investments to my colleagues also who have had similar experiences. Opa are quite different to other agents. They love what they do and are very good at it. I would specifically like to thank Zara she is literally amazing. So knowledgeable, she always wants to help and protect you. She gives very honest advice that guy can 100% trust. Even if there’s a problem. Or a stress during the conveyancing she is there fighting for you and taking the stress away.
15th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.
17th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.
