Huge thanks to Ahmad and Danielle for so patiently and pleasantly holding my hand throughout the entire rentals process. I am very grateful for their help and could not recommend Foxtons Notting Hill more highly.
Contacted them two months ago looking for a flat. A guy name Tom was very nice on the phone but not once in person. He argued that I said my limit was 1,300 pcm while I said 1,200 pcm. However, he showed us 4 flats, none of them under 1,300 (the cheapest was 1,350), insisting in that "the normal thing is to spend the 80% of the salary on the rent. Well, that may be your case Tom, but I don't want to struggle every month to pay my bills. He rudly insists so much on this that he even took a calculator and started calculating how much money we would still have after paying 1400 for a 1 bedroom flat near Portobello Market (btw, I thought the limit supposed to be 1300...). He also added that we will not find a 1 bedroom flat for less than 1300, unless we go to live to heathrow. Well, guess what Tom, we find it in Hackney for 1150, and it is not the crappy flats you showed to us (one of them included the landlords -an old couple that, I guess, wasn't expecting having two girls living together- living on the second floor of the building). I am not saying this the experience you will get with Foxtons. Not at all, at the same time colleagues from Foxtons Archway, Ealing and Greenwich were being incredibly kind and professional with us. I just believe this particular "Tom" from Foxtons Notting Hill is only used to work with wealthy people that would pay whatever they asked for a old, muddy, crappy flat in Kensington. It's fine, just tell me from the begining and don't go wasting my time.
This was my first time using Winkworths letting department as a landlord. It was a refreshing experience. Daisy and Sophie were very professional, always available and a pleasure to work with throughout the whole experience in finding a tenant giving me regular updates and feedbacks from prospective tenants. I will definitely use them again.
Poor customer service and give you incorrect information on moving in. Told me there would be no bed so bought new one but when moved in there was a bed. Proceeded to throw old bed away and was told could not do that. Did anyway and installed new and better bed
I had a great experience with Chestersons. Nabeel was a great help, professional and full of knowledge. He was excellent at keeping me informed and was a massive help in taking away some of the stresses of finding a place in London!
The "service" received from Chestertons Hyde Park office is literally so bad it cannot conceivably be called a service.
An agreement was signed by both parties on a prospective sale agreeing to commission of 1.25%. The property was sold and Chestertons sent an invoice charging commission at 1.5%. When I refused to pay the difference, the South African sales manager Dylan James turned up at my house and literally tried to kick my front door in. My teenage daughter was inside and terrified. Mr James proceed to loiter at my front door for the best part of an hour - smoking cigarettes, shouting and threatening violence. Upon eventually returning to his office he called me and threated to employ heavy-handed debt collectors if I didn't cough up. I refused to pay a penny more than the rate agreed. Mr James eventually and ungracefully accepted.
This firm is arrogant, dishonest, and inefficient.
Very happy indeed with the overall service - Nishaad was brilliant in finding a tenant within only a few days (after expertly negotiating a few offers) and has been incredibly helpful and courteous with all of my questions thereafter, going above and beyond to help me (as I'm based overseas). Melodie has also been wonderful - she was invaluable in getting the tenant into the flat within 2 working days! Unbelievable. Thank you to everyone.
"TEAM KFH Bayswater"... what can I say...well I can say straight out the the gate is that it is a GREAT team.
I have, in the last five years, bought, sold, and rented out numerous properties with Paul Hyman and his team.
I have nothing but praise for the way the team handled all aspects of purchase, sale, and rental. The team has always made me feel special, looked after, respected and represented in the best possible way.
And, furthermore, I have seen them do the same with the other parties involved in the transactions.
If you want to buy, sell or rent a property in the Bayswater/Lancaster Gate area this is the team to represent you - hands down no one else can beat them for a 5 star service and knowledge of this area.
Knight Frank has been one of the most pleasant agencies to work with. They are polite, professional and efficient. My letting agent was Ben Read who handled all the necessary paperwork of my tenancy in time, kept me updated constantly and always facilitated contact with the landlord in a professional and swift manner. All in all, I would recommend the Knight Frank Hyde Park office to anyone looking to rent or buy in the area.
I have known and dealt with Stephen Fairfax for quite a few years now and am happy to say that whenever I requested his opinion, I got it straight, without dressing… for want of a better word…
Due to this, I was happy to introduce friends to Knight Frank Hyde Park who have since entrusted the sale of their flats to Stephen's Hyde Park office.
I have also been introduced to the letting office and got another acquaintance to use your letting department who are currently letting their flat in Maitland Court.
Stephen also introduced me to Knight Frank Finance LLP where Andrew Mansourov is organising a mortgage for me at this moment.
A good, efficient and professional team I'm happy to continue working with and to continue introducing friends to.
I had a great experience working with Greta from Foxtons while I was looking for a flat in Maida Vale. She's helped me find and secure an excellent property! I would recommend working with her to anyone.
There was a stinky rotting hole in the floor of the bathroom, Foxtons ignored all emails about it for 6 months. Then they sent someone around to cover the hole with newspaper. A further 6 months later we realised they were never going to fix the hole and moved out.
