We recently purchased a property through Hamptons Caterham, and I cannot speak highly enough of the service we received, especially from Carrie. From the very start, she was a pleasure to deal with—professional yet real, striking that perfect balance of being approachable without trying too hard, which is something we really appreciated. Throughout the process, Carrie was always incredibly responsive, replying to emails on the same day and making an effort to call back promptly if she was unavailable. She truly went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly for us, making the whole buying experience remarkably simple and stress-free. What stood out most was that our conversations felt genuine. I wasn’t just dealing with an estate agent—Carrie’s approach felt much more personal, which made the entire experience so much more comfortable and enjoyable. Her professionalism, combined with a real personal touch, is what set Hamptons apart for us. He made cosmetic suggestions to improve the property before marketing and the photographs and the video we opted for were high quality. We had plenty of viewings before our buyer came along after 6 months on the market and things progressed pretty smoothly up until exchange and completion. Kelly and Chrissie were always on hand to set up viewings and show prospective buyers around. We are finally settled in our new home by the seaside, and are very thankful for all the help and advice we received.

21st May 2025 (1 day ago)I’ve been waiting for the updated tenancy agreement for the past three months, and unfortunately, there’s been a lot of delay. It’s been quite difficult to get any updates, which has been frustrating. I completely understand that you’re busy, but I kindly ask you to understand that we all have our own commitments as well. I’d really appreciate any help in getting this resolved as soon as possible.

At one point, our sale had fallen through due to something raised on the survey, but due to the tenacity and determination of both we were able to work out a solution and get it back on track. There were many twists and turns in our chain/sale and it was never going to be an easy win, but they were with us all the way, A genuine well done and heartfelt thanks.

Our viewing was carried out by Stuart and was the most relaxed and client-centred viewing we have ever had. Then following the acceptance of our offer Lucy took the reins and what could have been a very stressful process was made so much easier thanks to Lucy. She did the chasing, the phoning around and kept us at ease throughout. Thank you to everyone at Platform Property.
29th Oct 2024 (6 mo. ago)Selling a leasehold property can be daunting, and the process comes with many hurdles, but I’m glad we chose Black and Blanc as our estate agent. For starters, the way they present your property to the market is excellent, offering a very immersive experience. Once we found a buyer, the sale of my flat presented some challenges. Rhianna and, at the time, Ellie did an absolutely fantastic job—always following up with the buyer, conveyancers, and chasing up whoever needed to be chased. I cannot express enough my gratitude. If I had to sell another property, I would definitely appoint Black and Blanc again.

He helped us every step of the way from sorting handymen to deal w minor issues, to securing our necessary paperwork, to finding the ideal buyer. We were dreading a months long process but have solid offer in <1 month! I can’t praise him enough!

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Each person was fully on board with every aspect of the sale. Their efforts and expertise, allied to great communication and speed of response, allowed the sale of my sister’s flat to go through in the most efficient manner. Huge thanks to all the team.
