6th Feb 2026 (7 days ago)Had such a lovey experience dealing with Anil, Amy and Tracey whilst letting my property out. Amy pointed me in the right direction with regards to market rent. Anil was always quick to respond to any questions I had, and always kept communication flowing at every step, and Tracey was never too busy to answer any questions whilst managing a busy high street branch. Having dealt with another agency on the same street, I would highly recommend Connells all the way.

4th Dec 2025 (10 weeks ago)How does this business make any money? Aren't they in the business of selling houses? A simple query like 'Can I talk to one of your valuers?' seems to be beyond them. I have rang this company 3 times over the last couple of months because I am thinking of putting my house on the market. The first time I was told the valuer would call me back. He never bothered. I rang again, and again was told the valuer was out on a call and would call me back. he never bothered. I rang a third time and asked to talk to the valuer. The lady at reception asked me questions and then went to talk to the valuer, I believe. Eventually, she hung up on me. Get your act together. You are in the business of selling houses. To sell houses, you need to talk to potential customers. When your receptionist tells a potential customer that you will call them back, then be true to your word and do so. Keep in mind how many estate agents there are in the Oadby area and you are competing with them for business. Answering telephone calls promptly and returning customer calls would be a good start for your business.

From day one, right through to completion, she was supportive, approachable, and always on hand. Anne’s communication made the whole process feel smooth and manageable on the purchase side. She always responded quickly to emails, answered calls straight away, and worked hard to negotiate a price that both we and the seller were happy with. We’re so grateful for all her help!

16th Nov 2025 (13 weeks ago)I rang Readings to inquire about a level 3 survey for the property I’m purchasing. I spoke to Louise and the questions I asked were answered very professionally. Her services were excellent and prompt. Always helpful, polite and patient and very pleasant. The level 3 service was carried out by James and can’t thank him enough for the excellent out standing service I received. The report was detailed clearly and easy to follow.. He is very prompt on returning my calls and emails. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND READING to anyone require they services. Thank you once again. S Noray
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Initially told me all the windows and door keys were available but when it was time to hand over the keys he said they are lost. Overall not a good experience
