7th Apr 2026 (6 weeks ago)I enquired about a property I could comfortably afford, but the way I was spoken to by one staff member was completely unacceptable. While I understand there are legal procedures to follow, there is no excuse for being rude, raising your voice, or speaking to someone as if they are lying about their finances. A second staff member later called and explained the same procedures in a calm and respectful manner, which just highlights how unprofessional the first interaction was. Based on this experience alone, I would not feel comfortable having this estate agent manage a property I live in.

4th May 2026 (16 days ago)Dominic and Julie manage our rental property. Although our contact is minimal Dominic is always well aware of the tenant and any issues in the property. They provide periodic inspection reports with detailed photos, so any issues in the property are picked up early. Highly recommended.

3rd May 2026 (17 days ago)We would highly recommend Howkins and Harrison. Maddie, Lauren and Eve are all extremely professional and so dedicated to what they do. Maddie kept us in the loop throughout the whole process which was stressful at times and kept in contact with our solicitor and notified us immediately about the current situation. We are extremely grateful and so happy we are now in our lovely new home. Moving is inevitably stressful but instructing Howkins and Harrison was the best decision we could have made. Thank you Howkins and Harrison for making a stressful process more endurable. With professionalism, friendliness and commitment. You’re a great team. Best wishes Jan and Francis.

We needed to sell quickly in order to secure the house we wanted and bw able to place a formal offer. They worked at speed, when I requested a valuation they respond immediately and launched our sale within a couple of weeks. Their service was first rate and included a pre launch video, a promotional video and an open day. We were able to secure our asking price, so our purchase could proceed. Their communication to us kept us fully informed throughout the process and all queries were dealt with in a timely manner. On a personal level we found Claire and Sam lovely professional people to deal with and they were always focused on delivery of great customer service. We highly recommend them.

Jan has been so amazing throughout the whole process, going above and beyond if every aspect, I cannot thank her enough for the commitment to our sale, and dragging it over the line at the 11th hour. 15th May 2026 (5 days ago)I found Lee very informative and knowledgeable on our first meeting where he valued the home. The services included within the sale price were very reasonable and communication with all staff has been and continues to be great.
13th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)I would strongly advise people to avoid V&A Properties at all costs. In my experience, this company is not who they present themselves to be. I have had a property with them since the 1st of April. From the beginning, I was pressured with constant phone calls to sign the contract and tenancy agreement. There were known issues with repairs in the property, but I was told that tenants were happy to decorate and accept the condition, which led me to proceed with signing the tenancy agreement. We went ahead and installed brand new appliances through Currys — including a washing machine, fridge, electric hob, and oven. We even paid an additional fee for professional installation, all completed and signed off by Currys installers. However, two weeks later, I was informed that the property was “not certified” and that tenants could not be placed there. When I asked what exactly was not certified, I was told that the cooker needed to be a freestanding unit. Without consulting me or getting my approval, they arranged for an electrician to carry out work and then sent me a bill of £1,400. Their communication has been extremely poor throughout. They also claimed they had emailed me over the weekend and that I had agreed to pay for this work. When I questioned this, it became clear that the email had just been sent at that moment, yet they were trying to say I had already agreed. From my experience, this company operates unprofessionally and without proper communication. They made decisions without my consent and then expected me to cover the costs. Please avoid this company if you can and look for a more reliable estate agent. I am now seeking legal advice

Thank you for your lovely new home gift box, it was such a sweet gesture that melted our hearts! To Rachel and Kelly: Thank you both for everything you have done for us again and for making everything in your power to speed up the checking process to allow us to move in in a timely manner! And to Rachel a huge, heartfelt thank you to you personally. After the last two months, we had almost lost hope in other local letting agents after facing what I can only describe as discrimination. We are all hardworking people simply trying to find a new home, and we always treat and respect the homes we live in as though they were our own. Your kindness, understanding, and professionalism have meant more to us than you probably realise. Thank you for seeing us as people and for helping restore some of our faith in the process. They were a completely professional team of people throughout the entirety of both processes, whether it be lettings or sales. They efficiently dealt with any queries and were quick to update me. 8th May 2026 (12 days ago)I have been using Howkins and Harrison to manage my properties for approximately the last 10 years. Whilst I have always received a good service my recent experience has been outstanding. A cylinder fell off the wall in the airing cupboard damaging the main water tank and splitting a water pipe. This resulted in water escaping onto the landing coming through the downstairs ceilings, tripping the electrics in the house. The way Alison Edwards dealt with this was fantastic. As soon as she was aware, she attended the property to ensure the tenant was okay and the property safe. She contacted multiple contractors and within a couple of hours had a plumber and electrician on site. She made sensible decisions on our behalf, monitored the progress of the works being carried out over the 2 weeks it took to put everything right and kept us and the tenant updated throughout. We would like to thank her for the time and care she took and for how she treated the property as if it were her own. Thank you to the team at Howkins for the work they have done for us over the years and a massive thank you to Alison. You are a true star!

8th May 2026 (12 days ago)A good service let down by the fact it did not work for me.- 6th May 2026 (14 days ago)I was incredibly disappointed by Your Move Hinckley. It was quite clear that they considered the landlord a higher priority than tenants. Throughout my tenancy, I found the quality and timeliness of communication to be poor. There are plenty of examples that I could draw on. For example, when a brown fluid was leaking out in our bathroom, Your Move determined that fixing it was not a priority. At this time, we were told that a lack of heating in winter would be a priority. However, when our boiler failed that December, we were advised that we were still not a priority. The end of our tenancy was a shambles. They failed to confirm receipt of our keys and were sluggish to return our deposit. It felt like we were being passed between teams, none of whom were keen to help. I do not recommend this outfit at all.
2nd Apr 2026 (7 weeks ago)If you've always dreamed of being an estate agent yourself, then go with connells. They'll gladly make you do all the work and charge you for the privilege. In between trying to swindle us to use their zero deposit scheme, conveniently owned by the same parent company, and seemingly always being "out on viewings" I wonder how they find the time to reply to our emails after the the 4th time of asking. Landlords for the love of god just use openrent instead and save yourself £££.
