22nd Feb 2026 (11 days ago)We completed on a (complicated!) property mid-December, via Jay and Shari at Jackson Stops. Jay was the agent and Shari the senior property consultant. It is an old, beautiful and complicated property and Shari was amazing to cut through some of the issues to get there - knows her stuff. Would highly recommend

23rd Jul 2024 (1 year ago)Knowledgeable estate agent with good understanding of local market. Valuation was spot on with offer received within 2 days. Advertising material was very good. Communication with staff members was good. Estate Agent did not always provide updates via Property Portal thus requiring chaser phone calls that could have been avoided. Fair value for money as prooerty sold so quickly and they had little work to do. Even had to conduct our own viewings as staff not available at appointment times.

6th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)WHB Castleford fell well below my expectations even though they did sell my house.. There Valuaer came out and gave us a value for the property telling us they had 6 buyers waiting for property like mine that were ready to go and said If I paid for the photos I could have the prints in case I needed to go to another estate agent. The cost would be £2900 for selling. I signed up and waited. They sent viewers who didnt have their house on the market, Viewers who wanted three bed homes and when I asked where the viewers were that the salesman had told us about the abruot response from the woman in branch was well we cant force people to come can we. I then asked for the prints of the pictures which i paid for. The response was Thats nothing to do with us, Just print them off the webs site. Really obnoxious. We did sell thankfully but due to a legal complication, it took longer than expected which wasnt WHB Fault. I did on numerous occasions over a 4 month period ring the branch to speak to the person selling our house only to be told *Sorry she's out at lunch *. Strange as this was mainly at half three in the afternoon. I left numerous messages for her to ring me back and very rarely did that happen. In fact once that Sold sign went up they were not interested. Going into branch the feeling was oh what do you want rather than hello how can we help you... I felt that from day 1 this was just a total rip off. No customer care, staff who were either never at work or didnt want to speak to customers and our buyers were of the same opinion. Frankly if your selling your house I think there are much better customer focussed estate agents in Castleford and the service I got was definitely not worth the amount of money I paid....- 5th Feb 2026 (28 days ago)We have been very lucky with Leah, she does not just an amazing job she cares, as does Monet and Jack, you all make life easy, happy new home for us, without Leah and the team we would be lost, thank you always the Gawthorpes xxxxx

Buying and moving home is stressful enough at the best of times but with added complexities of divorcing and purchasing a tenanted property, I’ve found Stephanie’s patience and guidance very refreshing - making sure my needs are met and everything runs smoothly. A comfort as well to know Bethany is so attentive, ensuring the purchase proceeds on track and keeping me updated like clockwork has been great. Knowing as well that Imogen is always there at the end of the phone, they’ve all been an absolute pleasure to deal with and I’ll be forever grateful for their help in securing my new home. I would certainly recommend Bridgfords York!

As a firm they don’t simply rely on RightMove, but instead Monroe offer a wealth of potential buyers who they take the time to match with the right property. Communication has been excellent, with good commercial and supportive advice always available. Monroe took time to learn about our house and delivered continuity with both viewings and feedback. Once we had agreed a sale Monroe’s sales progression coordinator ensured that all solicitors in our chain were kept in the loop and that potential delays were unblocked by exceptional communication skills. Having used a number of estate agents over the years we have never had such an excellent service and enjoyable experience as we have with the team at Monroe.
