18th Feb 2026 (15 days ago)After a truly awful experience with our previous estate agent (only three real viewings in 12 weeks!), we honestly didn't have high hopes when we decided to switch. Then Adrian from Barnard Marcus walked into our property one afternoon with a smile on his face and full of enthusiasm. I laid everything out straight for him, and he simply said, "I got this." That confidence turned out to be completely justified.<br><br>From the moment we agreed to list with Barnard Marcus, the communication was fantastic. Adrian kept us informed every step of the way through the photo shoot and going live. Before we knew it, we had five viewings booked in the first week—four of which actually happened. That's more than we'd had in 12 weeks with the previous agent!<br><br>What really impressed us was how fantastic Adrian was with our rescued dog. He completely understood that we needed to consider our dog's needs during viewings and the sale process, which was a massive plus. It's rare to find an estate agent who shows that level of consideration for the whole family.<br><br>We decided to try their open house day, and that's where we found our buyer. There were negotiations, of course, including some last-minute discussions on final price right before our flight to Canada, but we eventually settled on a price everyone was happy with.<br><br>Adrian has been amazing throughout—funny, witty (don't want to boost his ego too much!), and genuinely invested in getting the best outcome for us. After experiencing and hearing so many horror stories about estate agents, it was refreshing and reassuring to work with someone who didn't just see us as pound signs. Yes, I know it's commission-based, but at no point did we feel pressured or stressed about selling our property.<br><br>Overall, it's been a very pleasant experience working with Adrian. We actually found our new property through him as well... but that's for another review!<br><br>Thanks, Adrian!
7th Nov 2025 (17 weeks ago)I really had a wonderful experience with the team especially with Lauren Nield. All my queries were answered promptly and in great detail. I appreciated how nice and patient they were with me. I recommend this agency to anybody looking to move.
2nd Mar 2026 (3 days ago)Every nightmare story you've ever heard about an estate agent is personified in these guys. Everyone I've spoken to who has dealt with them has had the worst experiences they've ever had renting. Imagine an estate agent actively trying to undermine and overcharge you at every corner while talking down to you and deliberately flouting the meagre renters rights we have in this country. Lottie and Valerija in particular offer some deeply, concerningly poor "customer service".

She was warm, encouraging, and genuinely reassuring at what could have been a pretty stressful time. Communication was quick and clear, and she was always responsive and happy to offer advice along the way. Dealing with the team was easy and straightforward from start to finish. Thanks to Emma, we ended up in the perfect rental place and couldn’t be more grateful. Would happily recommend Hamptons Dulwich to anyone looking to rent in the area.

He was professional and always available if we needed anything. From the valuation through to completion, everyone in the wider KFH team was helpful and transparent. Would highly recommend!

19th Jan 2026 (6 weeks ago)My experience with Oaks was not a positive one. Communication is seriously lacking at Oaks; viewings were cancelled and I wasn't informed for 3 out of 4 viewings. I had to chase them for feedback and updates. It was when they reduced the listing price without consent from either owner that drove us to list with another agent. The trust and faith in Oaks was gone after that.

Foxtons were aware for months that a tenancy no longer reflected the actual occupation of the property, yet failed to take meaningful action to resolve it. Despite repeated contact, the situation was allowed to drift, leaving a former tenant exposed to ongoing legal liability due solely to Foxtons’ delay and lack of competence. Communication was poor, escalation was resisted, and responsibility was repeatedly avoided. The approach felt driven by convenience rather than duty of care or proper tenancy management. This situation should never have been allowed to continue for as long as it did. I would not recommend Foxtons to anyone who values professionalism, accountability, or basic efficiency.

I was truly impressed by how willing and helpful they were, even though I’m not directly one of their tenants. The entire team provided thoughtful, factual advice that was invaluable in helping me resolve the issue.<br><br>While I can’t control who my managing agent is, I can say that after this experience, I genuinely hope to find a property management team as helpful and professional as Oaks in the future. Highly recommend them for their honesty and willingness to support tenants, even when it’s not to their direct benefit.
