21st Apr 2024 (12 days ago)Every time our viewing rate dropped they asked us to drop the price. We'd already dropped it twice and they were asking us to drop it again. They completely missed parts of the property off the advert and weren't willing to update the advert or update the photos in spring when the garden looked much better- 28th Oct 2021 (2 years ago)I have found some estate agents to be all about the sale and provide little knowledge or care about the property and area they are selling, let alone taking the time to get to know a potential purchaser and what is right for them. Paul from Connells, Hitchin however has restored my faith and has proved to have an outstanding knowledge of the properties and areas he has showed us, as well as taking the time during and after viewings to discuss them. Everything is seamless with them and they tick all the correct legal boxes. As a landlord, I have peace of mind with no aggravation. Emilee in particular stands out as someone who is motivated and on top of every situation. A pleasure to deal with. I wholeheartedly recommend Mather Estates as they are very professional and down to earth. The service is of a very high standard indeed. No nonsense and no gimmicks. A well deserved five stars from me.

23rd Apr 2024 (10 days ago)We decided to use Ashtons because they did very well selling a house for us 10 years ago. We had a positive experience then and achieved more sales price than other local agents advised. This time we were looking to let our property and the Ashtons lettings agent Colin Hickey was helpful, easy to talk with and professional from the start. He told us what he thought could be achieved and then went on to deliver. My phone calls have never been ignored, there has never been a problem getting through or expressing our viewpoints. Indeed I cannot fault the service but only commend. Very glad we made the decision we did. Happily recommend

2nd Jan 2021 (3 years ago)Generally very pleasant to deal with. Had to correct a few mistakes they made with the listing which surprised me. Also they initially had to be pushed to progress the sale. However the team were polite, informed me on progress when it was made and generally I was pleased with the overall experience. I was also slightly surprised that they require an up-front payment of £300 for photos that you only get back if they complete the sale. This was in contrast to all other agents.

I had viewed over 20 houses and this estate agency was one of the best among all, as I requested multiple viewings and to satisfy my purchase and mind. They were okay to bookinn and show me they property even on weekends. I highly recommend Giggs and Bell estate agency for property purchases and I will definetly ring them first for my second property…

At no point did I not think he wouldn’t do what was right by me and also the buyer. His knowledge of the market and legal matters were particularly helpful too. James really cares about his clients and this is invaluable when going through something as big and often as stressful as trying to sell or buy a house.
