5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)Katie and Joe have been excellent. We were able to accept an offer on our property in 7 days. The open day was a success and we have been kept informed of all steps through out the sale of our property. We used Cubitt and West in 2013 when we bought our first property, we have used them again when selling our property and we would use them again. We highly recommend Cubitt & West if you are looking to buy or sale your property.
12th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)“Pile them high and sell them cheap” If you know the phrase “Pile them high and sell them cheap” you will understand how Burn and Warne work. They boast of selling more properties than any other estate agent in Sutton, though their statistics show that they tend to sell below asking price. I did worry a little about this figure, when we signed up with them to sell our flat, and I made it clear that we were not looking for a quick sale but had plenty of time to find the right buyer. The lady we first dealt with assured us that they were “working for us” and would go to great lengths to match us up with the right buyer. She seemed to have a good knowledge of the local market, and was keen to tell us what a good negotiator she was, so we signed up. In the event, that was almost the last we heard from her, she did not answer any of my emails, and left any negotiating that was to be done, to the people in the sales office. We had a few viewings of the flat in the first couple of weeks, but as soon as an offer was made by a potential buyer, albeit £15,000 below the suggested price, we were being badgered to accept it. They seemed desperate to make a sale, whether the price was what we wanted or not. We were eventually persuaded to accept an offer £10,000 below the price we were asking, only to have the “buyer” come back a few weeks later asking us to knock a *further* £25,000 off the agreed price. We refused that offer, withdrew the flat from the market, and parted company with B&W. So much for matching us up with the right buyer! In a subsequent telephone conversation with the (somewhat desperate sounding) company owner, I was told that the lady we thought we were dealing with was a valuer, and had nothing to do with negotiating with buyers! 15th May 2024 (10 weeks ago)I have just completed a house sale with Christies, Banstead and have been very impressed with the service received. With a very prompt start, we had an accepted offer within a few days. The buyer was looked after through the buying process to keep them happy, and we were kept informed of progress at all times. Overall, an excellent service!

During my property viewing with Rhyanna, she was exceptionally punctual and provided comprehensive information about the property, which greatly facilitated my decision-making process. Her polite demeanor was also greatly appreciated. Once my offer was accepted by the landlord, I began working with Kamilla, the letting administrator. Kamilla has been remarkably proactive and helpful in addressing all my queries. I truly appreciated the high level of professionalism and the prompt responses from both Rhyanna and Kamilla. Thank you to both of them, as well as the entire Goodfellows team, for ensuring my new home is ready. I am confident that the moving process will be smooth with their continued support.

26th May 2024 (9 weeks ago)From the moment I contacted Gascoigne Pees to the time I had my offer at the asking price they were Helpful, Professional and efficient. They suggested an open day would be the most effective process for my personal situation. Nigel came to the property initially and explained the whole process. Jessica helped with the paperwork and kept me up to date through the process on every detail and Emma conducted the many viewings. The whole process from information gathering to getting a validated offer was approximately Two weeks. I would definitely recommend Gascoigne Pees to anyone looking for peace of mind and Results.

18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Since the beginning of our negotiations we felt things were a bit strange… But as we really liked the house we decided to still move forward. After awkward beginning we got a call saying that we got the House. We were extremely happy. We them hired solicitors, got our mortgage approved and we were just waiting for the probate. After 1.5 months of our offer being accepted, we received one call saying that they were very sorry but there was another offer (sounding like it was a done deal for the other bidder.. yes it became an auction we believe..) Long story short, even after saying that we would potentially rase our offer to still keep the house, they never came back to us so we could only imagine that they for some reason chose who is buying their houses… At least for us this seemed very evident. With our mortgage ready/approved, investment positions withdrawn and solicitors hired. Big ££ loss will all that on top of the terrible experience… Ps: By the way the house was out of market as it was marked as Sold…
