17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
2nd Nov 2021 (4 years ago)I have just purchased a property through Equus Property. Celia was fantastic, she was always available when I needed a question answered, she stayed in regular contact with me from the very first viewing right through to completion. Celia went above and beyond her duties, she helped speed up the process by speaking to solicitors and chasing things up for the vendor and I. I highly recommend Equus Property and when the time comes to move on i would not hesitate in contacting them to market my property. Thank you Celia for all of your help.
23rd Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Dealing with Street Estate Agents has been one of the worst experiences I've had with a letting agency. They increased the rent on my property without giving proper notice or any form of communication beforehand. I only found out after receiving a demand for a higher payment — no explanation, no warning, nothing. Their customer service is shockingly poor. Trying to get in touch with someone who will actually help you is near impossible. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are dodged, and when you do finally get through to someone, the staff are rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. It feels like they simply don’t care about tenants at all. To top it all off, I was served an eviction notice shortly after raising concerns, again with little to no communication or explanation. It seems they have no interest in treating tenants with fairness or respect. If you value transparency, professionalism, and being treated like a human being, steer clear of Street Estate Agents. They are untrustworthy, uncommunicative, and have zero regard for their tenants.

Highly recommend this firm and wouldn't hestitate to use them again.

24th Nov 2025 (8 mo. ago)Similar to another review reference letting a property, they were only interested in getting their money. They allowed our tenants to leave early and refused to cover any shortfall due to their “miscommunication”. Tried to bring my family members private affairs into the situation as a way of blackmail. I am currently perusing lost earnings and blackmail complaints through the property ombudsman. Shocking.

7th May 2025 (1 year ago)Got everything absolutely spot on.- 22nd May 2026 (10 weeks ago)We are only Under offer at the time of writing this review and so there is some distance to go, but so far Rush Witt & Wilson have shown themselves to be been a united team of keen Estate Agents in the Hastings office that we believe are doing their best to market and sell our house. They have been open and honest about the strengths and weaknesses of our property and although we are disappointed that the sellers market is so flat in late May 2026, we think we can trust their advice to set the price at what the market will achieve. Ask us again after completion.

27th May 2026 (10 weeks ago)Very poor communication. No contact unless prompted by myself and only 2 viewings generated, one of which didn’t go ahead due to an issue with the keys, however I wasn’t informed until I called for feedback 5 days later.

They always give 100% when transforming and styling spaces and take time to adjust minute details to allow properties to look their best. On top of that they have great personalities and look after those working with them and their customers. He accompanied me on a viewing in Flimwell and, although it wasn’t the right house for me, Jon really listened to what I was looking for and went out of his way to contact me when a suitable property came along. Over the past two years, I have had dealings with nearly a dozen estate agents and this superb level of service is definitely unusual and to be commended.

A special mention must go to Chris, whose communication skills are second to none. He kept me constantly updated and masterfully coordinated with both the solicitors and the other estate agents involved in the chain, making a stressful process feel incredibly smooth. Every single member of staff at the Hailsham office was professional, friendly, and helpful throughout. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
