I have found them to be very honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable and they are always very polite and courteous to deal with. They supported me through the whole process and were always very responsive to any questions that I had. A special thanks to Karen C, David and Abbie who all played a part in my sale and I am very grateful to the whole team.

13th Jan 2025 (1 year ago)Bad experience here. I have been waiting for the return of deposit since 08/09/2024 (check-out date), at time of writing the date is 04/12/2024. Despite asking for updates and calling, I have not received any response from this agency for 2+ weeks. IMO, there are many other options in Bristol worth trying before Chase Buchanan Downend.
19th May 2026 (5 days ago)I completed on my purchase of my beautiful cottage in Wotton recently and cannot recommend Christina, Sally and the whole team highly enough. They were absolutely brilliant. Very professional, engaging and knowledgeable indeed. A real asset to Wotton. If you are looking to sell or purchase a property in the area you will certainly be in good hands with them. Ten out of ten! Many thanks indeed for all their help. Lovely goodie bag too! ??????

28th Apr 2026 (26 days ago)I honestly can’t recommend Maisie and Mollie at Allen & Harris highly enough. Moving can be such a stressful process, but they both made everything feel so much easier from beginning to end. A special mention has to go to Maisie, who genuinely has the patience of a saint. I know I’m not the easiest person to deal with when it comes to things like this. I was constantly calling, emailing and asking all sorts of questions but she handled me perfectly every single time. She was always calm, reassuring, and never once made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Both Maisie and Mollie were always friendly, approachable and happy to help, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They kept me updated throughout, answered everything quickly, and made sure I always knew what was going on. What really stood out was how caring and supportive they both were. It never felt like I was just another client, and it was clear they genuinely wanted everything to go as smoothly as possible for me. Their professionalism, patience and communication were excellent, and I’m so grateful for all of their hard work. Thank you both for making what could have been a very stressful experience such a positive one. I would highly recommend Maisie and Mollie to anyone looking for estate agents who are not only efficient and knowledgeable, but also genuinely lovely people to deal with.

Throughout the whole process he kept me posted and explained everything I needed to know. He went above and beyond as I'm sure a lot of the times he was calling me were way past his home time. His professionalism really stood out, and we always appreciated his clear communication (not to mention his brilliant baritone voice on the phone!). Highly recommend!

They’ve kept us in the loop every step of the way, kept things moving and have provided feedback within an hour of every viewing. They’re a really friendly and approachable team and they’ve been really easy to work with. Would definitely recommend.
12th Feb 2026 (14 weeks ago)The agents were generally adequate, though punctuality was a concern. During one arranged inspection, the agent arrived over an hour late. I had contacted the office beforehand to cancel as I was no longer available, but the agent still attempted to gain entry and became defensive and confrontational when refused access. My main concern is with the property management companies they represent. I would strongly advise caution when dealing with properties managed by Forge Property Group. Despite being an exemplary tenant with a perfect payment record and maintaining the property to a high standard, they demonstrated extreme inflexibility. When my partner's grandfather passed away and we inherited his cat, Forge Property Group refused to allow it despite my offer of additional security deposit and the fact other flats in the building have pets. They refused to renew my tenancy solely due to this, then served a formal Section 21 eviction notice as a "precautionary measure" despite my full cooperation. The property was not redecorated between tenancies and basic maintenance required extensive follow-up. Future tenants: document everything in writing and be aware that flexibility cannot be expected from this management company.
12th May 2026 (12 days ago)I rented a flat for 5 years, for the first half of that time it was managed by a different agency who were consistently kind, helpful, and easy to deal with. The experience changed completely when management switched to Carter Jonas. The fridge freezer in the property failed entirely. Despite reporting it immediately, I was left without a working fridge for over 3 weeks and all of my food and produce spoiled. No temporary solution was offered during that time, making day to day life unnecessarily difficult. I politely requested reimbursement in the form of supermarket vouchers for the spoiled items and was told no, the opening line of their email response being “sorry to hear you feel that way” spoke for itself. The attitude of the staff was rude and unprofessional at best. The point of contact I dealt with was dismissive and seemed incapable of taking a logical or human approach to anything. Every interaction felt cold, defensive, and unnecessarily difficult. I lived alone and took great care of the property. In those 5 years I never once caused any issues, breakages, or complaints. Despite this, and after moving out, they chose to withhold my deposit for 5 weeks, providing zero communication throughout. It was only after I contacted the Deposit Protection Service that my money was finally returned.
11th May 2026 (13 days ago)Miles and Barr are an exceptional estate agent who have assisted in an urgent sale of a property. Their level of service and attention to detail are unmatched. Together with their customer service and great communication skills have reassured me as the customer and put me at ease. I only wish that I would have found Miles and Barr earlier and not wasted my time with other estate agents (YouMove). I must make special mention of Luke Howard, Luke Taylor, Steve Wall and Aimee. They have been with me every step of the way and made the process manageable. When I sell property in the future, Miles and Barr is who I will be going to. I wish to extend my thanks to the team for all their efforts.

Andy & Nicola are immediately responsive & so easy to contact, they prioritise weekend viewings & are very flexible. I couldn't recommend them more. They sold our house & we moved within just a few short weeks which was incredible! Thank you both for your dedication & personal service.

13th Jan 2026 (19 weeks ago)Edited to reply: I'm sorry Andrew but I haven't had anyone visit about the mould previously you must be referring to previous tenants. I have only ever had visits for radiator issues, a broken cupboard door and the routine inspections. I have never actually been at home for an inspection either. I have also had no email contact with you, only Amy and Luka whereby I am lucky if they respond without me double emailing them. A contractor did visit on the weekend and said there are numerous issues that should have been addressed a long time ago. Can I also ask, if you were aware there were mould issues a long time ago why this has never been mentioned and why was there such a delay in rectifying the problem?I can assure you that any 'poor ventilation' is through no fault of our own given that we purchased a dehumidifier, keep the radiator on every day and have the bathroom window open constantly. Currently a tenant and the communication is horrendous. I have been chasing up a mould issue for over 2 months and I'm lucky to get a response let alone someone be sent out. I've had to contact environmental health as my emails are often ignored. Such a shame as they were initially super helpful when moving in. I'd personally avoid.
