3rd Feb 2026 (7 mo. ago)We rented a property in Chingford from 1 February 2026 through Claremont Estates. Zak and Mafiz acted as a great bridge between us, the landlord, and Goodlord. The entire end-to-end process was smooth, efficient, and well explained step by step. The property was professionally cleaned and met a high standard. Everything was handled properly, and we are very satisfied with the experience.
12th Sep 2026 (6 days ago)Students and international tenants, please read this before renting through GLP.<br>I waited around a year and a half to write this because I wanted distance from what happened. After reviewing the emails, contract, inventories and photographs I kept, I feel even more strongly that I would never rent through GLP again.<br>I was a young international university student living alone in London, and dealing with my property manager, Victoria Hansell, became one of the most stressful and upsetting parts of an already extremely difficult year. I genuinely found the experience traumatic.<br>I repeatedly felt intimidated, overwhelmed and made to question myself. Huge financial demands and lengthy contracts/reports were presented with enormous confidence, yet when I examined the evidence myself, I repeatedly found reasons to challenge what I was being told. I genuinely felt my inexperience as a young international student was being used against me.<br>The clearest example was my break clause. GLP confirmed my tenancy would end 10 April 2025, and my rent was already paid through that date. Yet I was required to transfer another £15,210, covering 11 April–10 October — beginning the day after my tenancy ended.<br>I was frightened of the consequences of refusing, so I paid. Astonishingly, Victoria herself later wrote that in her opinion, since notice had been received, “good practice would be to void the payment due,” but said their solicitor advised otherwise to safeguard the landlord. The £15,210 was eventually refunded.<br>Checkout destroyed what little trust I had left. I was presented with around 20 alleged issues involving missing items, things supposedly added by me, cleaning, bulbs, repairs and more.<br>I challenged them point by point using GLP’s own check-in inventory and photographs. Some things they attributed to me were literally visible in their own timestamped photographs from before I moved in. A table and clothes airer they said were “added by tenant,” for example, were already photographed inside the flat at check-in.<br>The cleaning charge was equally upsetting. The apartment was dusty and dirty when I received it; I remember cleaning crumbs and accumulated dust from crevices while moving in. Yet after cleaning the property when leaving, GLP proposed another £200 + VAT cleaning charge.<br>I kept challenging the deductions and producing evidence over the span of many months.<br>The result? My entire deposit was returned. £0 deducted.<br>Around 20 alleged checkout issues and hundreds of pounds in proposed charges became zero deduction after I stood my ground and produced the evidence I had kept.<br>I cannot know anyone’s private intentions. What I can say is that my dealings with Victoria repeatedly left me feeling manipulated, intimidated and as though my lack of experience was being taken advantage of. I found her approach frequently dismissive and combative rather than helpful.<br>This genuinely affected me psychologically. I was already struggling that year at university and away from home. It took me a long time after leaving London before I even wanted to revisit these emails.<br>Students: photograph EVERYTHING when you move in. Keep every email. Know your rights. Challenge anything that looks wrong.<br>I am relieved I stood up for myself, but a young student should never feel they need to build a case file to protect themselves from their own managing agent.<br>I would never rent through GLP again. Based especially on my experience with Victoria Hansell, I strongly recommend students and international tenants look elsewhere. I sincerely wish someone had warned me.

He was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, always patient, responsive, and happy to answer all of our questions.<br><br>Jonah made what could have been a stressful process feel much easier and smoother. I lived in a Stirling Ackroyd property for 18 months, and on the few occasions a problem arose, I knew I could reach out to Terri and she would handle it, without the need for silly online forms, portals or waiting on hold for hours. End of tenancy was wrapped up by her within a few weeks - substantially less painful than any end of tenancy I've previously had.

10th Jun 2026 (14 weeks ago)Our experience with HomeLink has been extremely negative.<br><br>We returned the keys on 14 May 2026 and recorded a video at the time of handover as evidence. Despite this, we were later told that the keys had only been returned on 2 June 2026. We have evidence showing otherwise.<br><br>When we rented the property, we were informed by Zach that there were no damp or mould issues. However, during our tenancy we experienced significant damp, mould and moisture problems throughout the property, particularly during the winter months. My wife and child developed asthma-related health problems, and we have supporting medical evidence.<br><br>We moved out on 30 April 2026 and were preparing to move into another property. During this process, HomeLink provided a negative reference, stating that rent payments had been late. We had already informed them in writing that my salary payment date had changed and requested that the payment date be adjusted accordingly. Despite this, the issue was not resolved.<br><br>HomeLink has withheld our £2,015 deposit and has attempted to charge rent for a period when we were no longer living in the property. We have written communications showing that we informed the agency in advance about leaving the property.<br><br>We feel that we were treated unfairly throughout this process. We have retained emails, messages, video recordings and other evidence and have started legal proceedings regarding these matters.<br><br>Potential tenants should carefully document all communications and thoroughly inspect any property for damp and mould issues before signing a tenancy agreement.

5th Sep 2023 (3 years ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!

30th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)We were introduced to Clara Bracey at Tavistock Bow by our estate agent in Devon who successfully sold our home last year.<br>As soon as we met Clara we knew she was right for us.<br><br>Clara is charming, fun and authentic and loves her job. We agreed from the start that the road to a successful sale would not be easy because of the London market but she took all the stress away from us from the beginning. She knew straight away which interested parties were worth pursuing and after a few months contracts were signed.<br><br>I highly recommend Clara and Tavistock Bow estate agents. Clara is a first class communicator and has a flare for getting it right. As we moved from Germany to London for the first time, the process of searching for a home and completing all the necessary paperwork initially felt quite daunting. However, McMahon made the entire experience smooth and straightforward. Our agent, Serwan, conducted a detailed viewing via video call, shared all relevant information upfront, and guided us seamlessly through the contract process. We were particularly impressed with: 1) The thoroughness and professionalism of the paperwork and inventory check conducted by McMahon, which ensured fairness for both the landlord and the tenant. 2) The prompt resolution of minor issues in the property by Louise, the residential manager, who was highly responsive and efficient. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with both the property and the service provided by McMahon & Partners, and we would highly recommend them.

Pamela is our main contact, very professional, communicative, knowledgeable and on top of the whole process - would highly recommend her as an agent. She showed us the property and explained everything in depth and clearly. She’s also very responsive on WhatsApp to all of our questions, which has been very very helpful. Overall, would recommend Fraser & Co Shoreditch, and ask for Pamela if you can!
