29th May 2026 (8 weeks ago)I wouldn’t personally recommend dealing with this estate agent based on my experience. The property was described as being from a “quality builder”, but that didn’t stack up when I actually viewed them. There were issues that hadn’t been mentioned beforehand, which left me feeling like the listings didn’t give an accurate picture of what you’re walking into. Viewings themselves weren’t particularly useful. The agent seemed to have very little understanding of the properties and couldn’t answer basic questions, which made the whole process feel like a bit of a waste of time. Getting hold of anyone was also a challenge. Calls weren’t returned, and when I did get through, the interaction felt more like I was being brushed off than actually helped. The tone came across as quite condescending at times, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. Overall, it felt like dealing with a small operation without the structure, preparation, or professionalism you tend to get from more established agents. There just didn’t seem to be the systems or attention to detail you’d expect when making such an important decision. My experience was also a long way off what some of the more positive reviews suggest, which I found hard to understand given the issues I encountered. I’d suggest anyone considering using them does their own due diligence and doesn’t rely solely on what’s presented. Disappointing, and not something I’d choose to repeat.

I have tried to book a viewing and "Jack" on the phone has said no and that it will be a waste of time and also that they are not there to show people a jolly good time around properties. He has then gone on to say that they don't have to give buyers good customer service when I said he was being very rude and their allegiance is to the vendor not the buyer. When I asked why was it so difficult to book the viewing and even then he didn't help book a viewing.<br>I am astounded by the customer service, discrimination and subconscious bias that the staff have against customers just simply wanting to view a house

10th Jul 2026 (16 days ago)Our experience with Spencers was extremely disappointing. We were not informed that the property was subject to probate, despite this being important information that should have been made clear from the outset. This led to avoidable inconvenience and additional expense.<br><br>After raising a formal complaint, the matter was handled by Connells' customer relations team rather than the Spencers branch. They investigated our concerns thoroughly and ultimately resolved the complaint to our satisfaction by providing a full refund, for which we are grateful.<br><br>While I appreciate the way Connells handled the complaint, it does not change our experience with Spencers. I hope the branch improves its communication so future buyers are given key information at the earliest opportunity.

Not only are they professional, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable, but they genuinely care about making the moving process as smooth and stress-free as possible for their clients. As a conveyancer, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside them on a number of transactions, and the communication is always excellent. They’re proactive, honest, and always willing to go the extra mile to keep everyone informed and help matters progress. If you’re looking for an estate agent who is reliable, responsive, and truly puts their clients first, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them
8th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)You have to submit ALL your details to be able to even ask for a viewing. Fill in all personal information then you get left sitting waiting to hear back from them! Then you call and they say oh send an email and chase up your application!<br>It’s all a joke to just even get a viewing and I have waisted so much time and got no where with this estate agent!

The property was under offer very quickly. We felt supported and guided through out what can be a very stressful process.<br>Thanks to Charles, Anne and the Team.

The whole team was fantastic from start to finish, consistently going above and beyond to make a difficult time so much easier to navigate. 7th Jul 2026 (19 days ago)?????<br><br>After renting through this letting agency for over 20 years, I was extremely disappointed with how I was treated at the end of my tenancy.<br><br>I was the one who gave notice and expected the check-out process to be handled fairly and professionally. I felt like my loyalty as a long-term tenant counted for nothing.<br><br>The agency retained my entire deposit and then requested an additional £90, including charges for black bags left in the dustbin and miscellaneous items that were actually part of my original part-furnished tenancy agreement. I reluctantly paid the extra amount simply to bring the matter to an end, but I strongly disagree with how it was handled.<br><br>Over the course of more than 20 years, very little was invested in the property. The carpets were replaced only once despite already being noted as worn when I moved in and improvements such as the new boiler and loft insulation were only carried out through external schemes that I arranged.<br><br>I also experienced being locked out of my home after an inspection because the faulty front door had been double-locked, leaving me unable to access my property over a weekend.<br><br>After over two decades as a reliable tenant who always paid rent and looked after the property, I expected to be treated with fairness and respect. Unfortunately, my experience at the end of my tenancy has left me feeling that customer service and fairness were lacking. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this letting agency.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

17th Jul 2026 (9 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.

It sold so quickly, which is a real testament to how efficient, professional and proactive they are.<br><br>Communication was excellent from start to finish—we were always kept up to date, and any questions we had were answered promptly. Rebecca and the team went above and beyond to help resolve any issues that came up during the sale, making what could have been a stressful process feel much easier.<br><br>Thank you all so much for your amazing service. We’ve already recommended Holders to friends and family, and we’ll continue to do so without hesitation.
