Over promised, under delivered and let down at nearly every turn following. Didn’t realise just how bad it was until we changed agents.

We had really excellent support from Sylwia, so kind and so professional. Throughout a tricky process, Sylwia handled everything for us and got the right outcome for us. We really felt that we mattered to her, as well as the whole Davis Tate team. I recommend Sylwia and the whole team wholeheartedly.

Difficult market and everyone sitting tight and so the effort from Victoria and her team to sell our house was even more appreciated. From the first meeting with Victoria to the day we handed the keys over we couldn’t have asked for more.<br>Super professional and kept us informed with every step of the way.<br>Wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again and throughly recommend the team to anyone wishing to sell their property in Newbury and the surrounding area. 20th Aug 2026 (28 days ago)I had a really positive experience with Bridges Estate Agents in Caversham and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property.<br><br>From the initial valuation through to completion, the whole team were professional, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. They clearly know the Caversham market extremely well and gave sensible, realistic advice throughout rather than simply telling us what we wanted to hear.<br><br>The marketing of the property was excellent, with great photos and a well-presented listing, and they were proactive in arranging and managing viewings. Communication was also very good — we were kept updated with feedback, interest from potential buyers and any developments with the sale.<br><br>Once we had accepted an offer, they continued to be heavily involved rather than disappearing after the sale was agreed. They helped keep the chain moving, regularly chased solicitors and other parties where necessary, and kept us informed right through to exchange and completion. This made what can be quite a stressful process feel much more manageable.<br><br>Everyone we dealt with was friendly, responsive and professional, and it genuinely felt like they cared about getting the best outcome for us rather than simply getting the property sold as quickly as possible.<br><br>A great local estate agent and an excellent service from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Bridges Caversham again.

18th Aug 2026 (30 days ago)I think it depends what partnership you have, I one I had the sales pitch was great but the communication throughout once I signed up with them was terrible, at one point t after I chased and chased for feedback after 1 week after a viewing they told me I had an offer, yes it was very low, but I was never told.

Once we were with Davis Tate the photos were very good however some parts of the listing were not as expected. We didn’t have nearly as many viewings as expected and the communication was really poor. We didn’t sell our house but by deciding to reduce it on our own terms and didn’t listen to some of the advice of Davis Tate
