From the very beginning, they went above and beyond, especially in accommodating us with our newborn, and did everything possible to help us secure our beautiful home, including arranging numerous viewings to suit our circumstances and advocating for us on stamp duty relief. We are incredibly grateful for their honesty, transparency, and clear communication throughout the entire process, which made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and reassuring. Zaid, in particular, has been an absolute asset to the team. His kindness, patience, and constant reassurance meant so much to us, and he genuinely felt like part of the family by the end of our journey. We got there in the end! From their photos for the sales sheet, which were excellent, to liaising between the parties to ensure a smooth sale. The whole team seemed to be involved & we’re all up to date on the position so could pick up if someone was off. Once our house was sold, Cathy took over the liaising of seeing the sale through to completion. Thank you to the entire team for getting us through a highly stressful, at times, process , we are now in our new home.

He was always available to show us around the property while we decided if it was the right move for us and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had in purchasing this grade2 building. He liaised quickly & effectively between us & our seller keeping us all up to date at all times and answered all our questions. I genuinely felt Mark cared & thanks to him we are now settled into our new home. I highly recommend Mark.

Daniel is friendly, thorough and knowledgeable, keeping us up-to-date proactively and offering his advice and expertise as needed. You won't find a better option and I wish all estate agents operated like this!

One thing we noted was that our inventory pre-move in was very detailed, which we really appreciated. Thank you to Holly and the team, we’re very happy in our new home.

8th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)When I moved in originally I gave a 5* review. Once they had my money they stopped communicating, wouldn’t do the things they said they would, passed blame around and never took accountability, did not follow their own policies when it came to repairs. It got to the point where we had to threaten legal action if they did not get the repairs done. Our landlord failed to provide enough keys and so we were told we had to pay to make copies ourselves. We had many issues with the property and Tucker Gardner was no help. They lied to us prior to signing the lease and went back on promises they had made. It has been over a month since we moved out and we still have not received our deposit. Communication is terrible at Tucker Gardner. I am truly disappointed that what started out as a great relationship quickly turned sour. Our landlord also had his own struggles with them not providing the services he was paying for. Don’t work with TG Lettings, they’re dishonest and they don’t care once they have your money.

Andrew was always polite and professional with a strong understanding of the market, offering practical advice without ever being pushy. This made the whole process easy and stress free, me and my wife genuinely had an excellent experience throughout.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

They explain every stage of the sales process and are willing to go into as much detail as is necessary for different kinds of people. We were impressed by the level of knowledge they have and would recommend Wellington Evans to anyone selling a house in Hitchin. Especially if you have experienced a lack of interest or a lack lustre approach from other agents. James and Nick will come up with a sensible price and and effective strategy to sell your home.

We spoke regularly to Mike Bidwell who was our main contact and he was very proactive in trying to move the purchase along. Mike also went out of his way to resolve an issue after we'd moved into the property, which we are very thankful for. Based on my experience I have no hesitation in recommending Exquisite Homes to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
