14th Aug 2025 (1 year ago)We put our house on the market in March, we decided on Barnard Marcus as their valuation was the highest (out of 3). Their initial contact was good and positive but after a couple of months they suggested we drop the price from 575k. To 500k, this was a huge drop and far from their valuation of 575-600k, although viewings continued they didn’t really give any updates or feedback so we ended our contract with them when the initial 20 weeks were complete.

The process of selling our flat and buying our new property was as smooth as could be.<br><br>From the initial viewing to putting our place on the market, arranging viewings and advising us on the best way forward, we felt completely reassured by the team’s professionalism.<br><br>You can tell they are an independent agency because Nathan and Oliver take extra care with their clients. Both have a deep knowledge of the current market, are incredibly responsive and put us in a strong position to manage both our sale and purchase simultaneously.

Great advice on marketing strategy and pricing, which resulted in us agreeing the deal off market within 48 hours of first viewings. Very impressive and would highly recommend.

They were efficient and considerate when issues needed to be addressed and always gave plenty of notice if a visit was necessary for maintenance or utility or property inspection. Issues are resolved quickly and professionally and their communication is second to none.<br><br>I want to specifically call out the wonderful work of Francesca, who has looked after us for the last few years. We had a very complex situation this year with our buildings water supply and Francesca was empathetic, supportive and most importantly super effective at ensuring we were looked after as tenants during a very stressful time! We really valued the kindness.<br><br>I’d highly recommend renting through Benham and Reeves if you want to avoid the horrors of renting that we all hear about - this team does it the right way!

Her service is directed entirely towards accommodating the client's specific needs and circumstances, which could be complex. But her management knowledge and skills always find a solution - it is a quality of service we could only wish for nowadays. Would recommend her to anyone!
29th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)Incredibly unprofessional estate agency, absolutely zero help, used for my first rental property, where I found myself doing all of the work and fixing issue after issue left to me. Thinking I would see the back of them once I moved in I powered through, however this was not the case, Our payment methods were switched and I had to beg for a week to get the banking information of their own estate agency! Making my first payment late.The property I moved into was handed to me in a disastrous state which was a problem in its own right. I recommend this estate agency if your a fan of headaches and panic attacks. Avoid at all costs.
